We are so grateful for Cheyenne the doula. Being our first pregnancy, we were unsure of how we would handle the birthing process, despite taking classes and doing our own research. We eventually decided to hire a doula, which was without a doubt the best decision we made.

Upon meeting Cheyenne her passion for making the birthing experience personal and meaningful was evident. She immediately gave off warm and comforting vibes that lasted throughout our time with her. Cheyenne impressed us with her knowledge of the latest research, and her experience with many other birthing families put us at ease the closer we got to delivery of our baby girl.

Our labor experience ended up being quite different (and longer) than expected, and having Cheyenne by our side was invaluable. She knows exactly when to be present in the background, and when to step in with support or suggestions. She is unafraid to do unpleasant tasks, without question, and while making you feel as comfortable as can be. We highly recommend interviewing several doulas to choose the right fit for you, and I suspect when you meet Cheyenne you’ll know she is the right one, as we did.

My husband and I wanted a doula because we are both so new to the whole birth experience. We felt a doula would give us the extra confidence we needed to get trough the end of the pregnancy, labor and delivery. We found Cheyenne through the Childbirth Collective.

After interviewing three doulas, she was the easy choice with her outgoing personality, passion and knowledge of pregnancy and birth, and outstanding professionalism.

Cheyenne helped us with providing invaluable information during the two prenatal home visits on where we were in the pregnancy (e.g. staying calm and relaxed in the final days leading up to birth) and where we were headed (e.g. "roadmap" of childbirth, optimal positioning for baby, support for husband, and excellent postpartum resources). During labor and birth she was physically, mentally and emotionally available to keep me calm and guided me through all of the "good pain" and intensity of labor. My husband said that Cheyenne was an incredible support to both of us during the labor, especially when it came to the almost three hours of pushing. Once our baby was born, she slipped out when we were ready to rest.

Cheyenne is unique because of her ability to stay calm and provide an incredible amount of much needed information and support during labor so that I could make all of the informed decisions I needed to make during the ups and downs of labor. She has a fun personality with a calm and assertive presence that I needed to get through the entire birth experience.

I would definitely recommend Cheyenne to be your doula.

Before my pregnancy, I knew that I wanted to work with a doula. I had talked to a family friend, who had worked as a doula for years, and when she explained to me the support that they offer before/during and after pregnancy and childbirth, I knew that was the experience I wanted. I was set up with Cheyenne through Everyday Miracles and I truly feel that if I had not had her by my side from the very beginning, my labor and delivery would have been very different. We met a couple of times, prior to 'go time' and I really appreciated how many services she offered, including the use of oils which I enjoyed hugely during my laboring time. Her presence was so calming when she arrived at my apartment and my birthing waves (contractions) were coming more closely together. Because of her emotional and physical support, I was able to labor in the comfort of my own home for over 3 hours! She never once made me feel rushed to get to the hospital, rather it was whenever I was ready. Once we arrived at the hospital, she never once left my side. She was there with me until the very end and it was incredible to have that constant support. A few weeks after my baby boy was born, she came to visit me at home and once again, just offer whatever support I was in need of. She brought some baby items and her lovely smile :) I would 110% recommend Cheyenne to any expecting mother, she is truly wonderful! I can't thank her enough for EVERYTHING she has done for me and I will definitely seek her out if/when I am next expecting!

I had not even heard of the concept of a “doula” until I took my birthing class and decided that I would like to hire one to help me. I was a nervous as it was my first pregnancy, and I was not sure that I could handle it on my own.

We decided to hire Cheyenne because she seemed so flexible and accommodating. It turned out to be the best decision I ever made!

I would have given her ALL my money if I could because the delivery went so well. She is extremely calming and reassuring, and I wouldn't have made it as far as I did, unmedicated, without her. I wanted to try for a natural unmedicated birth but was not opposed to meds if I needed them. I was afraid of having a medication-heavy, stressful labor like my mom: she ended up with a c-section after stalling out at 3cm after a difficult induction.

Cheyenne was on board with whatever we needed to do and her openness and reassurance helped me a ton when I did eventually ask for an epidural.

Cheyenne helped me see that I made the best choice for me at that moment, and she was right: the birth ended with a speedy, stress-free vaginal delivery. Her fun personality matched perfectly with us and we hit it off right away. I would consider her not just my doula, but also my friend.

My husband and I knew from the beginning that we wanted to pursue a med/intervention free hospital waterbirth, if possible. We read about the benefits of having a doula and that births assisted by a doula had statistically better outcomes. We were also scared. We are first time parents. We had no idea what it would be like. We knew we needed support from an experienced professional that could be there throughout the process.

We were self-educating about the birthing process, as a classroom setting just wasn't for us. Cheyenne met with us in our home, where we were most comfortable. She gave us valuable, evidence based resources to help us develop a birth preference plan and explained both the risks and benefits of common interventions. She gave us confidence. She taught me relaxation methods and comfort measures that I could use in the late stages of pregnancy and in early labor.

During labor Cheyenne used essential oils to relax me during contractions, and energize me during the pushing stage. She followed my lead completely. When I needed something solid to lean on, she made it happen. When I turned on my favorite comedy for distraction, she laughed with me. When I started to struggle, she showed me new positions to try to help baby get in the best position.

When faced with decisions during labor, she helped explain the pros and cons in an unbiased manner. This gave me the confidence to make the decision that was best for me and baby without fear of confrontation.

She also helped my husband a great deal. He was understandably stressed. He had been applying counter-pressure through most contractions and had been my sole support for about 10 hours when Cheyenne arrived. When she took over he was able to take a break, get some rest, and communicate with our families, knowing that I was in good hands.

Cheyenne is one of the most positive and energetic people we've met and I would definitely recommend her as a doula.

I knew I wanted a doula the moment I found out of the life growing inside me. I knew I wanted a natural vaginal birth and I knew my partner and I would need extra support to make that happen. I knew Cheyenne was just what we needed the moment we met. We felt such comfort and confidence in our birth team. She helped us to prepare for labor by offering great information and taught us several comfort measures for pregnancy. My labor began on Friday morning, by Saturday morning I was starting to feel overwhelmed with the pain and anxious with the process.

Cheyenne came to our home and restored all faith. A constant, gentle reminder of my strength, a soothing voice reminding me to give in to the pain, a soft touch to ease my fears. Cheyenne helped me to transition through each twist and turn on my windy path through labor gracefully. A constant source of peace and comfort.

My son finally joined us on Sunday evening after what seemed like an eternity. It was not the unaugmented water birth I'd hoped for but it was a gentle vaginal birth. Cheyenne enabled me to labor for so long and still deliver vaginally, helping me to face each intervention, talking me through my fears and hesitations. I am eternally greatful for her gentle guidance into motherhood. Cheyenne has the most beautiful, honest soul and I will always hold space for her in my heart.

Cheyenne was such an important part of our labor and delivery. She helped us feel prepared by providing great information and resources for before and after our baby's arrival. During labor, she arrived promptly and brought lots of tools and ideas to help me remain calm and as comfortable as possible. Cheyenne is extremely empathetic and intuitive, and she knew when I needed encouragement or when I just needed a hand to hold. I strongly feel that I would not have met my birth goals without her. Besides supporting me, she also provided support to my excited yet nervous husband, which was so important to making him feel involved and competent. I have already referred one of my friends to Cheyenne, and would recommend her services to anyone. I look forward to working with her again in the future!

Wow, what a ride. Cheyenne was my comfort during my most vulnerable time. She extended a soft hand, a cool cloth, a soothing voice whenever I needed it. Breathing "Oooh" and "Aahh" with me through every contraction. Her presence was invaluable to me. I don't know how I could ever thank her enough. Cheyenne truly has a gift for this work. I instantly felt her love the minute I met her. What a beautiful soul she is. Thank you for being with us for the birth of our son. My husband and I will love you forever.

I never would have guessed my partner and I would be lucky enough to receive a doula. What’s even more surprising is to have Cheyenne as our doula. From the beginning she educated us on everything we needed to know. We grew comfortable with her and were able to completely eliminate any birth classes from our schedule pre-birth thanks to Cheyenne’s knowledge. During the birth she was attentive, calming, and helpful in every way possible. Looking back I do not know what I would have done without her. I highly recommend a doula for every pregnancy, as every pregnancy and birth is different. Cheyenne is without a doubt loved by all of her clients I know this is true and am speaking on behalf of all of them! Now settled in at home my partner and I couldn’t be happier with our decision to hire Cheyenne.

Cheyenne is one of the most passionate and hardworking people I know. I went from not being sure what a doula even was to being so grateful Cheyenne was there at my first birth. She goes above and beyond at whatever she does, and what she did for me was no exception. She helped me a lot before the birth – finding a childbirth education class, getting ready for the birth, and overcoming my own anxieties about labor. She helped me breathe and stay calm when my contractions got more intense, her voice lulling me into relaxation and sleep between each contraction. She reminded me of my strength when I faltered, and helped me get through it when I wasn't sure if I could. I especially remember and love her hand massages and her essential oils.

Of course, I was scared to have my first baby. It was only going to be my husband and me in the delivery room. I was pretty worried my husband was not going to provide the moral support I needed and wanted, therefore I was thankful to have Cheyenne help me through the labor and delivery. I had arranged to have another doula, but my baby came during the Christmas season (past his due date) and my scheduled doula was out of town. Unexpectedly, I called Cheyenne as a back up from the hospital while I was in labor. Cheyenne came promptly with a bag of tricks to try and helped me through the contractions. One of the most helpful items she brought along was an essential oil that helped curb my nausea. When we got to the pushing stage, she was right there holding my leg and giving me words of encouragement. After our baby, Levi, was born she took pictures and video of my husband and me holding him for the first time. These are special items that wouldn't have been captured without her presence. A couple weeks after his birth, she came to our home to check on both Levi and me. Her mere presence creates a calming effect. Doula Cheyenne's support was very much appreciated, and I would highly recommend her to anyone having a baby.
