If you’re thinking about getting a doula then you should do it! Sarah made all the difference for my labor! I’m positive that I would have given up on myself and my plans, but she was there the whole time and I made it through! She kept me informed and followed my birth plan; even taking pictures for me and taking notes for writing a birth story after. Having the birth story was awesome and I am excited to have had all those details I had already forgotten documented for me! I would for sure have Sarah be my doula again in the future!

Sarah is an incredible doula! She was an awesome support all throughout my pregnancy and a great listening ear for all the good and the bad that pregnancy brings. Her support during my birth process was absolutely invaluable. It would have been a very different experience without her wisdom and encouragement throughout the process. I am so thankful that she was part of my birth team and part of the story of my daughter coming into the world. Her continued support after my daughter’s birth has also been an incredible encouragement to me. From nursing to sleeping to adjusting to parenthood she has been a great resource not only for information and wisdom but for encouragement and confidence in my own ability to be the best mom to my daughter. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

One final thought Sarah left with me was, “So you can see how beautiful [the birth of your daughter] was from my eyes.” I never forgot her saying that because my birth story completely took turns that left us in somewhat of a shock. We planned for a natural water birth at a local birth center surrounded by midwives and our doula Sarah. We wanted a small intimate and natural birth to welcome our first child into this world. I met Sarah to discuss our hopes and determine if we really needed a doula. I confided in Sarah. She struck me as well organized and 100% committed to me and this birth and my husband. I explained that I felt my husband would need an extra pair of hands to help with massages and comforts during, what I thought, would be my long labor.

Having an uneventful pregnancy I allowed my husband to travel for business, after all I was 6 weeks away from my due date. But as does sometimes happen, life takes turns you really can not plan for. In fact, we needed Sarah more than I knew or could have imagined.

My husband missed the birth of our first (possibly only) child by 1 hour. He tried desperately to get home in time; It was Sarah who shared the sad (glad) news that the baby had already come before he could get there. My long labor turned into a 5 hour labor and delivery from start to finish.

Sarah was there every step of the process. From the moment I called her in shock that my water broke 6 weeks early and I was headed to the hospital. Without hesitation Sarah came to join me in at the hospital. She brought scriptures to share with me during my short labor. We were very thankful and blessed by Sarah’s heart and love for us during the labor and birth of our daughter. I do recommend Sarah for her love of the process and people and her commitment. As others have said about Sarah, she really is dedicated; she really does care. And yes, perhaps someday I will join Sarah and see the beauty of my birth story.

Sarah Page was amazing! She met with us on three separate occasions during the pregnancy and once postpartum, as well as was there for the birth. Each time we met she spent time getting to know how we were feeling, gave us pointers, answered questions, showed us relaxation techniques, and made sure we were comfortable with how things were going and progressing. She kept in communication throughout the pregnancy, and asked about Dr's appointments, and how tests went. She kept us up to date on her schedule letting us know when she was going to a birth, and who to contact in case we needed anything. At the birth she was extremely helpful in keeping both me and my husband calm. She talked us through the processes that were being performed and encouraged me when things did not go according to our plan. Our birth was long, hard, and exhausting for everyone involved. I was in labor for roughly four days with my water breaking the second day. I was on pitocin for most of the process and ended up developing and infection which resulted in an emergency cesarean. Sarah was there the entire time. She helped with breathing, walking, and suggested different thongs to help me relax and get through each contraction. She was a huge support throughout the entire process. After our daughter was born she checked on both of us to make sure we were doing well. At our postpartum visit, she answered more questions about breastfeeding, explained details about the birth, and talked with us about some things to expect during the postpartum period.

There are so many things we can say about Sarah, but I think the best way to describe our experience is we could not have done it with out her. She truly made the experience that much more enjoyable. She calmed our fears, answered our every question, and encouraged us in the moments we seemed to lose our hope. I would recommend her to everyone and anyone who is pregnant! She is an amazing woman and an awesome doula!

My husband and I love Sarah! We decided to hire her because I did a lot of unnecessary compromising and interventions during the labor of our firstborn. With Sarah’s knowledge and support the second time around we were able to reach all of our goals and have a completely natural and beautiful birth!

Sarah made herself selflessly available to help prepare for the birth of our second baby. During labor, she was so calm, reassuring and encouraging. Having her there to grab anything from water to a cool rag while I held on to my husband was so unbelievably nice. My husband didn’t have to leave my side which was very important to the both of us.

As a great bonus, she brought to our postpartum visit pictures and a birth story she had written. These are wonderful memories to have. We are so very thankful to have had Sarah as our doula and would highly recommend her to anyone getting ready to have a baby.

When I contacted Sarah I wasn't 100% sure I wanted a Doula. After all, it was my second pregnancy and I had given birth the first time without a Doula.    Hiring Sarah was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself and my family.  What I liked about Sarah was her great follow up and how she took initiative.  She always did exactly what she said she would and had great resources to offer. I immediately felt a connection with Sarah. It was my personal goal to be able to give birth all natural without any pain medication and I was hoping Sara would be my coach. When the big day came she was more than happy to help me labor at home and offer support to both me and my husband.  She was emotional support, physical support and a resource as well as an extra set of hands.  When I hesitated to bring all my pillows to the hospital she encouraged me and loaded them up in her car.   When we arrived at the hospital the staff knew her and were happy to see her which comforted me even more. Sarah is very knowledgeable which helped ease my fears as my labor progressed.  One of the most important aspects of having Sarah was her ability to calm and support my spouse as well. When I progressed to 8 cm the pain was so great that I once again started to lose focus and requested an epidural.   This is when I needed Sarah the most.  Even though I was in the greatest pain of my life yet so close to accomplishing my goal, Sarah was able to support and calm me through visualizaction and meditation.  I definitely had freak out moments but through it all she remained calm and focused for me.  I could not have done it without her.  Just as I suspected, without the epidural my baby was able to latch on better and my recovery was easier. Then a few days later, she presented me with a written account of my birthing experience which I will treasure forever.  Hire Sarah today!
