 I had a baby girl in March, 2012. We hired Penelope's services for Birth and labor assistance along with prenatal and postpartum massage packages. We (me, my husband and my mother) have been very pleased with our experience with her as our doula.

I had in-home prenatal visit and a massage before baby's arrival. At these visits , Penelope provided excellent advice and helped us mentally prepare for labor. She gave heads up on what to expect at the hospital and several tips on how best to cope with pain and how to deal with possible interventions at the hospital. This was my first child and my labor was very intense and long. At the time of labor, she provided constant support and encouragement. This provided a lot of reassurance to not only me but also my husband and Mom. Penelope was with us all night long at the hospital until after my baby girl arrived. She constantly reminded me of my strengths and helped me from giving into c-section due to exhaustion. So many nurses and doctors switched , but I could always rely on her unending support and undivided attention. She played calming music in the background through out my labor which was a great relaxation technique.

After birth, at the postpartum visits, she gave us a lot of advice on mom's diet and baby care as well. I am currently availing her postpartum massage service and its been helping me recoup. I highly recommend this service to expecting moms.
