Post a testimonial for Lila Bennett, Postpartum Doula

We contacted Lila before the birth of our son because we were anticipating needing some support at home when we brought him home.  Lila worked with us for three days each week for three weeks.  One night per week she stayed overnight so my partner and I could rest. When everything around us seemed to be falling apart, Lila was steady, confident, and dependable.  She supported us with encouragement, advice, and "pro-tips."  She is confident and knowledgable in all forms of parenting styles. She taught us how to wear our little guy around the house, gave us tips and encouragement with cloth diapering, and even helped position our son properly for nursing.  When she wasn't helping with Fred, she would do light tidying around the house without being asked.

She even brought her own swaddle, and it turns out, Fred liked her swaddle better!

Lila will not disappoint you.

Lila was amazing to work with! Our newborn was having a ton of trouble sleeping at night. She would be up from 11pm to 7am crying nonstop and wide awake. We weren’t sure if they our baby had digestive issues or colic, but no one seemed to be able to calm her, and my husband and I were averaging 2 hours of sleep a night. We finally realized we needed more help and reached out to Lila.

From the start, she was great at communicating and easy to work with! We had her over for several night shifts to help us finally get some sleep. Each night Lila came, our baby slept a little longer than the night before. She shared a ton of valuable tips and wrote everything down for us so it would be easy to keep track of in our sleep deprived state. So accommodating and organized!

She definitely has been my favorite person I’ve met during this postpartum timeframe, and I can’t recommend her entough. My husband and I are first time parents, and we’re hanging on by a thread before we reached out, and my only regret is that we didn’t get help sooner!

A friend of ours who worked with Lila referred us to her when we were struggling with our newborn.  She was quick to respond, and made room for us immediately.  She is sensitive to the different needs and structures of families, and works hard to support what you want.

We hired her for daytime shifts, and three overnight shifts.  She brought us much needed reprieve and gave us confidence in ourselves.

She has real-life experience with the certification to back her up.

I would recommend her to anyone who needs a boost of support after bringing home their baby.
