My passion for connecting with families around the time of birth stems from my own experiences in pregnancy and the births of my own three blessings. I began my work in lactation as a La Leche League Leader hosting monthly meetings and offering email and phone support. As an independent contractor, I wear many hats! This helps to keep me connected to our thriving community of breastfeeding families in Oklahoma City. I am the Administrative Assistant as well as a Collective Member at Thrive Mama Collective located in the Plaza District, along with currently working with the Coalition of Oklahoma Breastfeeding Advocates facilitating COBA Baby Cafe OKC twice a month. I serve 10-25 families each month through private practice lactation consulting and birth doula services.

Having Jessica as my doula was the best decision I made in my pregnancy. In a world of doctors and nurses and quick last minute decisions, she was there to make sure I was comfortable and educated on what I wanted for my son and I. She will be the first person I call when I decide to have another baby!!
Jessica is the best of the best! I absolutely loved my experience with her. I felt zero stress throughout my pregnancy and birth. My pregnancy was unexpected and not supported by my family. Jessica was my support. My rock. My voice. She answered every question and concern I had. She asked my Dr questions that I never even thought about. She taught me so much thoughout the pregnancy. When it came time for me to go into labor, I'll never forget how supported and empowered I felt. I labored away from the hospital until i was in "active" labor. I never felt pressured by hospital staff like previous pregnancies. Jessica completely supported my wishes. She helped me so much while at the hospital. The birthing ball saved my life ??. Breastfeeding was so beautiful. She helped me. Taught me how to latch my daughter properly. Taught me all kinds of tricks about breastfeeding. It was never painful and I never felt discouraged. I wish I could have used her for all my pregnancies. ?? I highly recommend Jessica Halley to everyone. Absolutely love her. She is a complete God send. Thank you Jessica!
I had an incredible experience with Jessica as my doula. As a nineteen year old single mom, with my son's father in the military I needed all the support I could get. I met with three doulas before deciding and had an instant connection with Jess. She understood the looks I got having a big belly and no ring on my finger. She understood that my only other support system were old school grandparents who believed nursing was for the poor and being completely unconscience during your labor was the best way to go. She took me on anyways. She educated me, helped me with questions to ask my doctor, and supported me when I switched at 30 weeks pregnant because of a lack of support in natural birthing options. She always treated me with respect, my body with respect and spoke to me like the young adult I was, instead of like a child. She accompanied me to prenatal visits anytime I asked, and spoke so highly of me to my doctor. She really was proud of me for doing research and making decisions for my baby, whether she totally agreed with each decision or not. I had some special circumstances surrounding my delivery, a feared deployment, and an imminent death of a close family member, and she handled each with grace. My son's birth was an incredible experience, a birthday of my own in many ways and Jess was a big part of that. She gave me support and kind words when I thought my natural birth was becoming impossible. She continued to tell me that my body was made for this and I was doing beautifully. Jessica is an incredible advocate for pregnant women and women in general, and I'm proud to say I'm using her at my daughter's upcoming birth in March.
