Laura assisted us with our first child. Throughout the entire process Laura was accessible, engaged, and supportive. She is very knowledgable about the entire birthing process and the challenges new parents face. She did a very good job explaining the process to us and letting us know the advantages and disadvantages of the choices we needed to make during the pregnancy. During that actual labor and delivery she made this first time process for my wife and myself less stressful and we were more confident because of her.

Laura served our family beautifully.  Cool, calm, collected... Laura's expertise brought us peace and confidence as my wife Holly labored to bring our little guy into the world.  I am incredibly grateful that Laura was a "third voice" in the room so that my focus could be completely on my wife.  Her understanding and support of our birth plan made it easy to trust her when I needed to attend to Holly's needs.  I would highly encourage anyone in the Chicagoland area to consider Laura as your personal doula!

We are so grateful to have had Laura as our doula for the birth of

our first baby! Her presence in the labor and delivery room was calming and reassuring when labor got difficult, and she had a wide range of coping skills (massage, movement, positioning etc) to help me labor naturally and progress my labor.  She was positive and supportive to both me and my husband throughought  well as after delivery. We definitely hope she can be present for the births of our future children!

After we made the decision to try to have a natural childbirth, my husband and I chose Laura to be our Doula. It was the best decision we made! She met with us multiple times and each meeting was so helpful and informative. Working with Laura and having met with her several times made us feel so comfortable with going the natural route and also having her along for the journey. She is such a kind, sweet, and caring individual, she would call or text to check up on me during my pregnancy. After every doctor visit she would ask me to call and let her know how things are going, and anytime I had any questions I was able to contact her. She just really went above and beyond through my pregnancy, delivery, and post-partum. When my water broke I called Laura on the way to the hospital and she gave me a heads up about what to expect and it was so helpful because I was in a panic and I was not sure what was going to happen. She came straight to the hospital and was by my side through all of it. I know that I would have had such a hard time with dealing with the pain had Laura not been there. She was wonderful in getting my husband involved to help me work through the pain. Her strategies, words and exercises helped me through I think almost 12-15 hours of labor. Although I had to end up getting an epidural and was upset about it Laura supported and comforted me and really made me feel empowered regardless. Post-partum Laura would call and check up on me and it was so great because I had so many questions and had a tough time breastfeeding. She has such a wealth of information and resources, but more than anything she was always there, which was so important for us.

I would absolutely recommend her to anyone, she’s amazing!!

Thanks so much Laura! :)

Laura was an amazing doula! Upon our first meeting, my husband and I agreed that Laura would make a great part of our birth team. Her calm, level-headed approach was invaluable! She was very knowledgeable about the birthing process and gave us the information and support we needed. Whenever I would voice my fears about childbirth, Laura was a good listener but also extremely calming which helped me relax. Because of her, I had the courage to try natural birthing methods.

As fate would have it I had a very long labor with unexpected complications and hours of waiting. Laura was there every step of the way for 15+ hours! I don’t doubt for one moment her commitment to being the best! She never faltered, and never gave up on me (even when I was crabby and demanding an epidural!). There was a point during my labor where I had both physically and mentally HAD IT! I will never forget the positive and strong words she said to me that helped me relax and changed my attitude. Although my labor complications required I have an emergency C-Section, I could not have handled all that stress without Laura's coaching and even her physical assistance with my contractions. I was able to feel calm and more in control. Laura was also a huge help to my husband who was also exhausted through the long labor process!

Because of Laura's dedication to her craft, her confidence in her work, and her unwavering support I was able to pull through a rather difficult birthing experience. Thank you Laura from the bottom of our hearts for all that you did to help us!! We will be forever grateful for your contribution to this most special event!!
