First off.. I just want to let everyone know how truly amazing Jenn is. I've known her since before I was pregnant. We met through ICAN in Lakeland. Since the day I met her she has had the kindest, sweetest soul. She was available throughout my pregnancy if I needed for my endless question and concerns, hormonal moments, etc. The day I went into labor we got in touch, I told her how I was feeling and how the contractions were getting more intense, and never once did she say, it wasn't time for her to come (even though we all knew I was in early labor)she asked me immediately what I needed from her. This was my first time going into spontaneous labor, so my family and myself were very anxious. I live an hour away from the hospital I was delivering at and I asked her to meet me there. Before I could even finish the question she said "absolutely,  I'm on my way." She met me in triage and immediately was at my side asking what I needed, she had relaxing music going, massaging my back, anything I needed.  I wasn't far enough along yet for them to admit me so we went to a hotel with I walking distance of the hospital and for the next 4 to 5 hours, Jenn helped me labor with circuits to open my hips, poured hot water on me in the tub, continually telling me how beautiful and great I was doing, and how strong I was being. With every contraction and resting through out, she was helping me breathe, feeding me, along with encouraging my husband to stay strong and reminding him that this was normal because it was hard for him to see me in the pain. Eventually I went back to the hospital and was admitted and once again, Jenn by my side, and supported me through every contraction. What I love is she never tried to take the place of my husband and his support. When it came time to push, I asked her to grab my camera and start shooting. She stayed either until we got to mother baby. My VBAC experience wouldn't have been the same without her. I just love her!

My husband and I brought our first child home from the hospital. This was the beginning of our journey together as an adoptive family and also as first time parents. I knew that I wanted to nurse our son and give him the benefits of the bonding we could share during those times together. Jennifer was there for me from the day he came home and helped me with a supplemental nurser and  positioning him for our first nursing session as mother and son. Although I didn't need her help for the physical after birth assistance, she was very much a vital role in helping me through all of the emotional aspects a new mother goes through after the delivery of their child. She was so kind, patient and compassionate. She was exactly the kind of person I needed there for me during those first precious moments as a new mother. She calmed my fears and anxieties and helped me feel as though I was safe and would be ok as this precious little boys mommy. I would absolutely hire her again and recommend her to anyone looking for a doula. She is so knowledgeable and has a talent for making you feel at ease no matter how unique the situation may be. My family is forever grateful for her services during those precious first moments.
