Thank you Becky Hines for helping us through our long and eventful labor. We could not have done it without your strength, diligence and calmness. We attribute our peaceful birth thanks to your unconditional support. Thank you!!!
Becky was amazing! After having an emergency csection with my first son and a pitocin vbac with my second I desperately wanted to experience an all natural birth with my third child. Becky gave me the confidence I needed through out my labor. I know I would not have been as calm and focused without her guidence. My husband was so grateful she was there as well! I'm very happy to say that thanks to Becky's help I had my dream birth experience. I would recommend Becky without hesitation!
Becky was our doula for both of our boys' births. For our first birth I knew I wanted a natural drug free birth. I wanted someone to be an advocate for us at the hospital more than anything. At least that's all I thought I needed from our doula. My husband and I had taken the Bradley Method course and he felt confident and comfortable helping me during labor, and felt that a doula wasn't necessarY. However he was supportive of what I wanted and decided if I thought I needed a doula then I should have one. My first birth was at Baylor hospital and I, we were so very happy to have Becky there. She supported, comforted, and went above and beyond my expectations. I had the drug free natural birth I dreamed of. And afterwards my husband said everyone should have a doula. For my second birth I decided i wanted to do a home birth. I knew without a doubt I wanted Becky there. She was once again so supportive and calming. Becky is a rock star in my eyes. We don't plan on having anymore babies but if we do you better believe that she will be by my side again. I could go on and on how wonderful I think she is and how important I think it is for every woman to have a doula. Thank you Becky!
Becky was an absolute joy to work with. She was my doula for my first child. Her energy was amazing and she was a a godsend for me in labor. I had originally chosen to have a natural birth at a birth center, however, my water broke at 35 weeks and I had to deliver at a hospital. Becky was essential in creating an ambience that was as close to the birth experience I hoped for and matched the plan that we had discussed and created two weeks prior. She brought essential oils, masssaged me, and kept me moving in different positions throughout labor which helped it progress quickly. As labor progressed, she was by my side as a constant source of encouragement. Her sacral presses and hip squeezes helped me manage the pain of the contractions. No one knew that my baby was breech until I crowned. At that point, Becky and my midwife made the decision not to tell me she was breech. I was thankful. Instead they just had me push and encouraged me to get through the wall. We delivered our healthy, natural, surprise breech baby and Becky was the best doula I could have asked for. I cannot wait to have her by my side for my next birth.
Becky was absolutely wonderful! She made labor and delivery so much more relaxing of a process. My husband and I felt so supported by her, which helped us to relax. Becky made herself entirely available to us prior to and after the birth - answering all my anxious questions of a first time mom. I am so thankful to have had her as our doula. I can't recommend her enough! She's just an amazing person and doula.
Becky Hines helped us have such a wonderful natural, unmedicated birth experience for our twin delivery! I had initially debated on the decision to hire a doula, and I'm so glad I decided to do so- I can't imagine getting through delivery without the kindness, pain relief, and guidance in decision making she offered. Becky created a very tranquil environment in the delivery room- she kept her voice and lights low, using essential oils and christmas lights to transform the hospital room into a place that felt homey. She had so many wonderful tricks up her sleeve that showed just how seasoned she is as a doula. Becky massaged my body for HOURS, she had lots of different birth positions to try and knew just when to encourage me to walk and when it was time to rest, when it was time to have a pow wow with the nurse and doctor, and when it was time to clear family out of the delivery room. It really allowed me to go inward and focus my energy on delivery, because I knew an experienced person who had seen it all was there as my advocate. As a former nurse, Becky was a great team player with the hospital staff- she knew how to speak their language and had knowledge of just what was going on- that was so calming to me to know that she was there to make sure everything medically was being done to take great care of the babies and me. Becky really genuinely cares and was so great with follow up after delivery. She's a person who I now consider a friend. I couldn't reccomend her enough!
Becky is worth her weight in gold! I felt like I was in good hands with her throughout my pregnancy and my son's birth. We had two very thorough meetings before the birth where she gave my husband and I a bunch of advice and we all got on the same page about the ideal birth, should we be so lucky. I never felt like I was being judged about any of my decisions (potentially having an epidural, not wanting to continue chiropractic care, etc.); her focus was on supporting me. I ended up going natural and Becky's massage techniques helped a lot during my contractions and she gently but firmly guided me through the pushing stage as well. As an added bonus, she snapped a picture of my new family the minute my son was born, and I get teary eyed looking at it. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for some additional support during childbirth.
we were pregnant with our first child, we decided to seek a doula's help and we were refered to Becky by our OBGY office who had nothing but great things to say about her. We contacted Becky and despite her busy schedule she made time to meet with us and answer all our questions and concerns. Becky visited us at home and explained to us the road ahead of us, things mom has to know and do to be well prepared for delivery, and the delivery itself and many other details that helped us a lot during this exciting but stressful time.
honestly , having Becky on our side was like having a family member who is extremely knowledgable and devoted. she was always there to answer our questions and concerns through phone calls or texts or emails. And during the 24 hour delivery Becky was there the whole time helping with positions, pain management, and much needed educated/emotional support. We dont know what we have done without her..
we are the parents of a very healthy and happy baby boy and know that if we have any question Becky is there to help ... Highly recommend a doula for expecting parents highly recommend Becky ...

Hiring a doula was the second best decision we ever made in our pregnancy! Hiring Becky was the best decision we made. From our first meeting with her she was nothing but helpful. Our first child was born in 2007 via c-section so we were hoping to have a VBAC delivery. Before we had even hired Becky she gave us tons of pointers on how to help things go our way. She referred us to a more VBAC friendly hospital, she referred us to the UNT midwives, she referred me to a chiropractor. Our first son was 9 lbs 5 oz and I was told he was too large to deliver vaginally and we needed a c-section after 18 hours of labor. With Becky she never let me just lay on my back while in labor. She constantly had me moving to keep the baby coming down the birth canal. Even after I cracked and got an epideral I never stopped rotating and changing positions in the bed. Thanks to Becky and my amazing midwives who never made me give up I VBAC'ed an 11 lb 7 oz baby boy after 36 hours and couldn't be happier about the outcome! My husband was very skeptical about hiring a doula but he now says we will never have another baby without Becky by our side! We learned so much from Becky and gained a great friend a long the way.
Compassionate, coach, supporter, and friend, are just a few words to describe Becky and what she meant to my husband and I as we journeyed through 9 months of pregnancy and then labor and delivery. Becky is extremely professional and an expect in her field. She has such an amazing background and she truly care about her clients. I remember our first meeting, she said "your goals, are my goals" that stuck with me throughout the entirety of my pregnancy. Becky was ALWAYS available via text, email and phone, able to answer all my questions and provide detailed information about pregnancy/labor topics. Becky was right there with me as labor begun she was AMAZING! Helping not only me, but my also my husband. We had a birth preference in place and she knew exactly what I wanted as far as labor went and was able to help me accomplish my desires for a natural labor and delivery. I am so so thankful and blessed that our paths crossed with Becky and she was apart of the most amazing day of our lives as we welcomed our baby girl into this world. Thank you Becky!!! Love you!
I did not have a natural birth with my first, but wanted this experience with my second. Becky was exactly the personality and comfort that my husband and I wanted to be there with us on this journey. He was a little scared about me having natural childbirth but after meeting with her to go over the birth plan and questions, he was instantly comforted. She was very knowledgable about anything we had questions on and informed us of things we'd never thought of. She was great about sending emails to keep me informed of what my body was doing during the last weeks of pregnancy and what to expect during and after birth. From the minute my water broke, she walked me through what to do next calmly and I knew I was in good hands. Although my labor was intense and quick, having Becky there to speak words of encouragement to me and my husband was phenomenal. She would explain to me all that was going on so I felt confident going forward. When I was in pain she had techniques to get me through. When I looked back on pictures she took, I was so excited to see some amazing moments she captured that I was unaware of. I had a bad experience breastfeeding my first, but she helped me immediately bond with my second and I felt better about breastfeeding from the get go. After coming home she came and brought a lovely gift for my family and answered all the questions I had about the initial first days. She continued to help with breast feeding and provided some fun conversation. I love the bengkung belly binding she did. Overall, if I were to have another child, I would not hesitate to have Becky by my family's side.
Words cannot begin to describe my gratitude and appreciation for Becky. My husband and I knew instantaneously we wanted her to be our doula. She has a warm and loving spirit that fills a room. We trusted her at our most vulnerable and precious moment, the birth of our first child. She was so helpful with keeping my husband and I calm and comfortable throughout labor and delivery. We adore her so much that we're reserving her for our second child :)
I am beyond grateful for the support in having the pregnancy/birth I dreamed of. My husband and I felt empowered to face labor/delivery with a conviction that we could do this well together, with Becky alongside us. She taught my husband how to help me so we could labor together rather than me laboring with my doula and robbing the love of my life the satisfaction of supporting me and toiling with me to bring our son into this world. It would have been easier to help me herself rather than coaching a novice dad, but she was willing to guide and gently support us both. When time came for husband to pack the car, or when watching me suffer was wearing him out, or when things got more intense than we could handle on our own, she was quick to jump in with counter pressures, with lotions and salves, with directions. She helped me stay calm with room lighting, essential oils, reassurance that the pain had purpose. One of my favorite memories of her is shortly after she arrived I got a big contraction and she climbed right in bed with me to apply counter pressures - I knew then she was WITH me. Having her with us allowed us to labor at home not panicking that we would have the baby on the floor or in the car on the way to the hospital. We were able to be quickly roomed at the hospital with a nurse who enjoyed narural births. After delivery the nurse commented to me she appreciated Becky and working with her - unfortunately she explained a lot of doula's come in with inflexible birth plans and antagonize the nurses making it difficult for them to do their job and possibly leading to poor patient care due to friction and stress in the delivery room. Becky seems like an old friend, one that's walked beside me a long time even though I've only known her a few months; I think that's because she's walked so closely with us the past months. I am eternally grateful for the amazibg experience she helped me create and in part created for me. Recommend her over and over again.
Becky is amazing! She is very personable and easy to work with. She was the anchor of our birth plan and helped us from A-Z. It was such a relief knowing that we had hired someone with so much reliable experience. My husband and I chose an unmedicated birth in a hospital setting. I had so much confidence going into the birth knowing that Becky would be with us. I labored for close to 30 hours and could not have done it without her there! We love her and will be sure to contact her to help with our next baby!
My husband and I loved Becky! From our first meeting I felt like she provided us with the information and resources needed to have a less stressful birth. She also provided us with information leading up to labor that would prepare us for birth. The squat and pelvic exercises I felt helped our baby move into the ideal position for birth.
When I started labor on mother's day Becky was available from the early hours of the morning to when she came in the afternoon during active labor. She helped guide us when I had a contraction that would not stop. Without her wisdom I probably would have needed an ambulance. She saved the day for sure! Then when she arrived she had me try a position that resulted in my water breaking. From there we went to the hospital where our little one was born an hour later.
When I began pushing I felt completely supported and like I had my own cheering section with Becky coaching me on how to push and encouraging me when it became really difficult! I would hire her again as a doula and recommend her to any of my friends regardless of their birth plans!
I can not fully express how happy I am that Becky was a part of my labor support team. From the beginning all the way to Post Partum Becky was readily available to answer my numerous questions that I had as a first time mom. Having her as a resource helped reduce my anxiety throughout my pregnancy since I knew that I could contact her about any of my concerns and she would always give me peace of mind. One of the things I liked best about Becky was that she listened to and followed our wishes in regards to our birth plan. I really liked that as I got closer to delivery she would send helpful tips via email. During labor and delivery, Becky was amazing. She stayed with me through my 14 hour labor and had tons of energy was able to keep me relaxed and provide encouragement/reassurance. She also had a variety of comfort measures that she utilized to help with the labor process. Becky is a very calm, peaceful, reassuring presence which is criticcal during labor and delivery. At the post partum visit, Becky answered all my questions about baby care and breast feeding as well as helped me learn how to use my breast pump. I am also grateful that even after delivery Becky is still available to answer my questions. I am so blessed to have had Becky guide my husband and I through this experience. I highly recommend Becky to any family looking for a Doula.
I could not imagine going through the journey of pregnancy and labor without Becky by my side. Becky is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Her focus is entirely on you and guiding you in making your own decisions for what you desire your birthing experience to be. During labor she adjusts to your needs and will be there for you if/when needed, no matter the time of day/ night. Becky was in constant communication with me once I began contractions; she went above and beyond to come to our house at 1 am to assist me in coping with pain. Becky will calmly guide and suggest ways to help with labor pains and contractions. Her positive demeanor and gentleness assists in bringing the baby into a calm, positive, peaceful atmosphere. She works extremely well with nurses and doctors and is respectful to their practice, while staying true to your birth plan. Throughout the process she was not only by my side, but was there to coach my husband with strategies to help me and gave him confidence, which allowed him to have his own special experience throughout my labor. I could not recommend someone more than I would Becky. She made the birthing experience better than I could have ever imagined and for that I am forever grateful.
Becky was a very professional, kind, and wonderful person to get to have as a doula. She provided the services that were in the contract and beyond. being this was my first pregnancy, I had lots of questions and concerns. She sent articles and answered questions through text and email . Given the fact that my labor was 24 hours, it was great to have such a knowledgable doula there for support. Becky is a great choice for a doula and I would hire her again in a heartbeat .
