In 2014 we hired Karen as a post partum doula. She was fabulous! We have triplets, and at the time they were only a few weeks old when my husband and I realized the middle of the night feedings, plus work was way too much to try and tackle alone. We needed help! I was uncomfortableat first having someone I did not know in my house, with my kids, while we slept. But after the 1st night of Karen being with us I  knew we were in good hands. In the mornings my kitchen was clean, bottles/formula was prepped, laundry was done, and most importantly our babies were fed, happy and clean. Karen is 100% trust worthy. And I recommend her to anyone needing a doula for support. I would gladly speak to anyone looking for a reference on Karen.

I have known Karen for several years. My first experience with her was in a support group setting. She is a compassionate, attentive leader in every area. Her passion for serving others is amazing. She is extremely reliable and resourceful.

Personally, Karen has helped me after the births of two of my children. She took care of my needs, and helped with meals for my family, as well as helping my husband and I look into counseling when we needed it. She is an encouragement to me, and I would call her first, to be my doula. She works so well with others and very professional but personable.

Karen was a wonderful post partum doula. My Mother-in-law hired her because she was not able to help out after our baby was born. Karen was very knowledgeable - she helped me with breastfeeding positions and getting comfortable to relax with baby. I immediately felt comfortable handing my baby off to her to take a nap. She baked, did laundry, helped organize our baby clothes and changing table, and was extremely encouraging to both me and my husband. she has a very calming and gentle nature, and I would recommend her to anyone after they've given birth.

Karen helped me after the birth of my second child. She provided a listening ear and help around the house while I was battling mastitis. I eventually had to have surgery because of a massive infection, and she was there to help during one of the most difficult times of my life. I truly believe that her support during that trying time was a key factor in my breastfeeding success. I went on to nurse my son until he was 3.5 years old (AFTER breast surgery)! How awesome is that!?! As a doula myself, I believe in the power of doula support. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She has a gift for listening, which is the most important aspect of postpartum doula support.

My husband and I wanted a doula because we believed it was the smart thing to do, for us and for our baby, but we had absolutely no idea how much we would love Karen- Karen made the birth of our first child into an experience that I joyfully remember. Of course, I am sure that I would look back upon my daughter's birth as one of the most important times in my life regardless, but with Karen's help the experience was more gentle, less painful, more joyful, less initimidating, and truly more humorous at times. Both my husband and I feel this way. Karen anticipated my needs before I did. She made me feel comfortable leaning on her, both literally and figuratively, and she did not hesitate to do every single thing she could to help, even down to the smalles details. She was a miracle masseuse. She held my drinks for me, put up my hair, always smiled warmly and with good humor, and made me feel safe. Her help made this experience much less stressful on my husband, relieving him of the burden of being my sole support. Karen's endurance is extraordinary. She was enthusiastic from the very first phone call, all the way to the birth almost 40 hours later. Although I am a very private person, Karen's warm manner made me feel comfortable and free to be myself. I am extremely lucky in that I was able to have the natural birth that I dreamed of, and I am grateful to Karen for helping to make that possible for me. The strength of her encouragement is powerful. She speaks from experience, from wisdom, from education, and especially from the heart. She is a fantastic listener, and she was always eager to learn about my dreams and expectations for the birth. Our relationship with Karen was very much a dialogue that started long before the birth and extended into the months after. When we tell our daughter about that special birthday, Karen will always be a hero in our story.
