Attends hospital births? Some Hospitals
I will consider hospital births on a case by case basis. The climate at many facilities is that doulas are not well-received. Many facilities have non-evidence based policies that are detrimental to the birthing mother.
Attends birth center births? Some Birth Centers
Attends home births? Any Home Birth
I attend any home birth in a purely supportive role.

I have a reduced fee for military and first responder families. I also will work with families on a payment plan that suits their budget, including bartering and volunteer births. Daytime rate for postpartum services is $25/hour, minimum of 2 hours. Please don't hesitate to ask for assistance in payment, if you've come this far looking for support, money should not be a barrier.
Sumter, SC Service range 100 miles An additional $100 is added to fee for birthing locations more than 30 miles from my home.
Olivia was my Doula for my firstborn child. I myself am also trained as a Doula and found Olivia to be extremely professional, positive and also realistic. Her postpartum help was incredibly invaluable. She helped me troubleshoot breast-feeding issues, cleaned my house, and did grocery shopping for me. Her help for my at home labour as well as in the hospital was incredible. Her calming nature and experience was amazing. She only ever offered advice and was never pushy. As a result of her presence and support, the support of my husband and a great midwife I had the birth that I truly wanted. As a type one diabetic I faced a lot of extra stress with doctors expectations, extra medical procedures and general anxiety as diabetes puts one in a higher-risk category for pregnancy. Olivia was always available through text or phone and I can truly confirm from my own experience that hiring a Doula is worth every penny. She also came to my home to do the placenta encapsulation, which really helped me through the first few postpartum weeks.
Olivia was amazing. She took her time to make sure she understood the kind of birth I was looking to have and got behind me 100%. She had such a great wealth of knowledge and answered all of my questions and then some. When I panicked, she kept me calm before, during and after our baby was born. Without her I don't think I would've been able to accomplish the pain-med-free birth I wanted. I'm convinced she was my backbone during my moments of vulnerability and weakness. My husband was initially skeptical of hiring a doula, he couldn't seem to understand what role she was going to play in the birth of our baby. But he agreed to it to make me happy. By the time labor and delivery was over even he was singing her praises and telling all our friends and family that she was worth every penny. I'm so incredibly glad I had Olivia by my side!
Olivia was a great doula for me! My baby came super fast and when she met me in the hospital parking lot she helped get me in and it was already time for the delivery. Her ability to help advocate for me made sure that even though the nurses were completely unprepared for immediate delivery, I still had my natural birth. And even better- she helped me immediately nurse my daughter which set us up for a fully successful breastfeeding relationship that I did not have with my firstborn. I am beyond grateful for her support!
Oliva attended my last homebirth. I loved her gentle caring ways so much. I was deeply saddened to hear she was moving out of state and won't be at my future births. She is truly wonderful and caring. She was confident as she cared for me during labor and my newborn afterwards. She was warm and friendly and a joy to have in my home at such a special time. So grateful to have been blessed by her care. Loved talking with her about pregnancy, birth and nursing. I am sure she will continue to be assest to those in her care.
Olivia is an amazing light in the world and a fabulous, supportive resource for the women she works with. Olivia answered my questions, reassured me whe I was worried, and was always there for me when I needed support or advice during my pregnancy. She was very open, positive, and upbeat about my choices, and ready at a moment's notice with a horde of resources, information, articles, and anything else she thought might help me.
She's incredibly knowledgeable and clearly well-informed on all things pregnancy, birth, and labor.
Even more importantly, however, she's warm, compassionate, caring and genuine. She's not attached to dogma, and is passionate about helping mothers have the kind of experience that they desire, whatever kind of birth that ends up being.
She's a fierce advocate for YOU, and an unwavering, quiet source of strentgh by your side.
