Hiring Sarah as our doula was hands down the best decision we made during our pregnancy.  This became apparent especially when I was 38 weeks pregnant - our regular care provider was out of town and another care provider told us that I needed to go to the hospital that night to be induced.  We did not feel comfortable with this and called Sarah.  She immediately started researching our situation and had conference calls with 2 other doulas who had similar experiences with their clients.  She talked us through our options and gave us the names of 2 practices that fit our needs who would accept transfers at 38 weeks.  I ended up going into labor naturally at 41 weeks and 1 day and Sarah was our rock throughout the entire labor and delivery, offering support for both myself and my husband.  She knew just what we needed, stepping back when I needed some space and diving right in when she could tell I needed extra support and comfort. She stayed with us until we were settled with our newborn son, then went out to pick up Jimmy John's for us!  She checked in with us via text a few times in the hospital and continued to offer advice and support even after our postnatal meeting.  I have already told her that she will be our first call the next time we get pregnant!  I would highly recommend Sarah and cannot say enough good things about her as a person and as a doula.

We had a planned cesarean birth.  Sarah was integral in helping the experience be less scary, less medical, and more spiritual, loving, and personal.  She helped my partner and I to figure out what was most important to us and then empowered us to advocate for ourselves and communicate those decisions.  I felt so supported by her and that made all the difference in my birth experience.

Sarah also lead a Mother Blessing for me.  It was a beautiful ceremony/gathering.  I ended up feeling so full of love and strength.

Sarah is a loving, grounded, non-judgmental, beautiful person who is so great at empowering women and helping to normalize the challenges of birth and parenthood.

I'd be glad to speak with anyone on the phone about Sarah as well.  You can ask for me through Sarah.  :)

I don't know where to begin with how much we adore and admire Sarah. Sarah played such a vital role on the most important day of our lives and we will be forever grateful to her for guiding us so gracefully through our long and emotional birth. Sarah provided the perfect amount of support (emotionally and physically), and  keep us calm and focused throughout. We laughed and cried with Sarah, we cracked jokes with her and had a genuinely FUN time during the many, many hours we were in labor. After our sweet baby girl was born my husband and I would stop and say "I don't know how we would have done this without Sarah by our side." On top of all that, the texts, calls and 'check-ins' she made after our birth were refreshing and so helpful. She was right there to help with questions on breast feeding, sleep and parenting. If Sarah didn't have an answer she had many resources in her back pocket and would set us up with someone who could help us. Sarah is truly amazing and we feel so blessed to have had such an amazing woman and doula by our side!

Sarah gently guided me towards a more fullfilling and empowering second pregnancy and birth. She encouraged us to take back the control and with her support I was able to deliver my daughter armed with my own desires, a well thought out plan, and tools in place to be successful. Due to her presence my husband was able to experience the labor and delivery as my partner with guidance as needed to provide the best support possible. Sarah has a calming presence, however, she is a strong advocate when needed. I truly feel lucky to have met Sarah and her role in our lives will never be forgotten.

Sarah was pivotal in picking up what my body needed to help labor progress during my homebirth and her encouragement is what helped prevent the pain from getting a hold on me!

Sarah took us on as clients later in our pregnancy. She was kind, patient, but most of all knowledgable. When my wife went into labor Sarah gave us a sounding board and friend to call when things got challenging and sleep got scarce. Our sons birth was much less stressful and we were much happier afterward having had Sarah there to help. I would recommend her to anyone seeking a kind, unobtrusive, strong doula to assist with their child's birth. Sarah is ever present yet steps back to let you and your family enjoy the birth of your new baby.

Sarah was a crucial part of our first birth experience. Armed with a wealth of knowledge and positive energy, she helped us understand and manage our anxieties. Prior to the birth, she coached us on what to expect. During the birth, she served as an advocate, our compassionate champion, and a calming presence. After the birth, she helped us settle into our new life with baby. Sarah is sweet, generous, and down to earth, and we would recommend her to anyone.

Thank you, Sarah, for playing such an essential role in the birth of our son! We are profoundly grateful for you!

Sarah was an amazing resource and support throughout our birthing journey. She has an incredible intuition for saying and doing just the right things at the right times. I appreciated all the little things she did to make my birth more comfortable and she helped motivate me to get through the tough times. She also did a great job of involving my husband and making sure this was our special time as well. Sarah has a true gift and anyone would be lucky to have her present at their birth!

As new parents to be we did not know what to expect and were overwhelmed with information. We had heard about Doulas and halfway through the pregnancy we decided to interview a handful of Doulas. Sarah was our first choice based on her commitment to the process, sincere approach and calming influence. After reading books and taking classes we were even more confused and scared. So much advice and personal opinions out there. Our first meeting with Sarah instantly put us at ease. She asked thoughtful questions and really took the time to know us and how we envisioned the birth process. I think the best part about our first meeting was Sarah asked what was important to us and actively listened. Sarah was available anytime we had questions leading up to our BIG DAY! :)

Once we went into labor Sarah was there to guide us. From staying in the comfort of our home as much as we could to the long hours at the hospital. Once we arrived at the hospital Sarah was there waiting for us. She was able to connect with the staff, advocate for us and help to create a calming environment. Father found it VERY impressive that Sarah took notes during the entire labor in order to share our birth story. Overall, Sarah made mom and dad feel they were strong enough to give birth to a beautiful baby and walk away confident.

After the birth of our lovely daughter Sarah made an in home visit. We talked and remembered the process and she answered new questions in regards to breastfeeding, sleep, etc.

We highly recommend Sarah to any couple during their birth journey! Wow, was she fantastic!

With appreciation,
New parents: Kerry & Deborah Edwards (Baby Elerie Marie Edwards)

I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that we found Sarah. I was determined to birth our second child naturally and was certain I wouldn't be able to do it without some additional support. My husband and I ended up deciding to look into working with a doula just 3 weeks before our due date and Sarah was a great resource for us in our search. We weren't finding what we were looking for and I knew I really wanted to work with Sarah, but she was not available to us. One of her mommas ended up birthing early and she became available, so we jumped at the opportunity to work with her.

We had the most amazing birth experience and I am proud to say I birthed my 9 lb 8 oz daughter, completely naturally. I know I could not have done it without Sarah's calm voice, gentle guidance, and unwavering support. I highly recommend working with Sarah to have a beautiful birth experience.

My husband and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sarah! She went out of her way to let us know that she was available as a resource and source of encouragement and wisdom well before and after we went into labor and she was an important part of our labor and delivery. Sarah is warm and welcoming and she has a calming and reassuring presence. She listened attentively to our hopes, fears, likes, and dislikes without any judgement during our initial meetings and responded accordingly during our very long labor process. Sarah is also a fabulous prenatal yoga instructor. I would highly recommend her!
