Jen provided postpartum services to our family once a week for one month. Although her assistance was just for a few sessions, she made a big impact. Drawing on a wealth of experience (not just her own but from other doulas in her company as well), Jen gave us custom-tailored advice for our son. After each session, Jen would have a bunch of innovative solutions to our issues. She placed just as much concern on caring for me as the mother as well. Overall, we highly recommend Jen and her company.

Jen was a lifesaver for our new family! Her relaxed and upbeat attitude really helped my husband and I navigate the nights as new parents of twins. At first, we were not sure we needed a doula at night but we quickly realized that good sleep was the key to being a good parent.  We counted down the days until she was with us again! Jen not only cared for our twin girls at night but she also took care of laundry and cleaning the girls bottles as well as the equipment for pumping. We found that establishing good sleeping habits with Jen made our road to sleeping through the night a little less bumpy. Highly recommend her!

Jen Dougherty is a GOD SEND to new moms! She was recommended to my husband and I through co-workers and I'm so glad we found her and her team. Having her help and expertise with my newborn son during those first few exhausting months was SO necessary! I struggled with justifying doula services at first because I'm very type A and thought I could handle everything myself, but she quickly became indispensible to our family. She is willing to do as much or as little as you need her to, but in our case, she helped with night feedings, putting the baby back to sleep, dishes, laundry, and most valuable, allowed my husband and I a few SOLID nights sleep several times a week. In addition, as a new mom, she was someone to listen to my questions and concerns and give advice (but not in a pushy way at all). It honestly felt like I had a friend over helping me very quickly after she started working with us, and I looked forward to the nights she was coming over! We're forever grateful to Jen and her team for their help in keeping our sanity when our baby was a newborn. I know we'll be calling her again with baby #2! I can't recommend her enough!

The price of having a doula for some is not in their budget. Would it be worth the money?

I can confirm that it definitely was, and if its in your cards look no further Jen is amazing.

Jen started with us from day one, and was a life saver.  Having your first child is overwhelming and postpartum hits you like a ton of bricks.  Every night Jen would arrive she would immediate provide a sense of calm, jump right in and ensure that first and foremost you were okay.  Yes, it is about your new bundle of joy but you need to take care of YOU first.  She delievered all of her advice in concise ways that never felt pressuring just speaking from expereince.  She helped with cleaning bottles, feeding, preparing for the next day, doing the babies laundry, cleaning up, no task was too big or too small for her. There were even times when I got a text reminding me she was coming to leave everything for her for that night because I am type A and have to do everything myself :)

She gave me the confidence that it was okay to fail at breastfeeding and exclusively pump because it was what was right for me. She gave me the confidence that regardless of the choices I was making (sometimes not always what is recommended) was right for me and my baby.

I am now back at work and we are still working with Jen, my daughter is 8 months old and I could not imagine not having Jen as part of our family moving foward.  I would now consider her a friend, and so lucky to have chosen her to help transition my family from 2 to 3.

I am happy to speak with anyone further who is thinking about working with Jen.
