I cannot begin to explain how grateful I am to Beth and the gift of sleep she gave to me and my husband. It was such a comfort to know that my daughter was in capable, comforting and loving care while I got the sleep I desperately needed. My daughter was waking up 5 or 6 times a night and with Beth’s guidance, she was able to get her to wake up only once a night! Beth was always available to answer questions and provide her expertise in developing proper sleep habits. Beth demonstrated how dedicated she was, even on the days she was not scheduled, by checking in to see how we were progressing and offering helpful tips. A postpartum Doula offering nighttime support is a financial commitment but having Beth made it worth every penny. We are so grateful for the time she was with us and will miss her greatly!

Beth and her partner Carol helped us with our second child during her first month. My husband and I looked forward to her visits each night, knowing we would get some much needed sleep, assurance, and advice. Beth has a very calming presence and immediately put us, and our baby, at ease. Right away on her first night with us, Beth was able to calm our baby and she could stay asleep until it was time to eat. Beth would bring her to me to nurse, then whisk her away when I was done so I could go back to sleep and she would magically put the baby back to sleep with ease. Beth would help with lots of other tasks around the house, and it was a great feeling to wake up to a clean kitchen, laundry folded, and dishes done. Beth always arrived early and gave us invaluable advice and help with our daughter’s fussiness and tummy troubles. She and Carol were both flexible with scheduling in order to best meet our family’s needs. Beth left me detailed notes on her nights with the baby and always checks back in on her off days to see how we all are doing. She has sent me lots of tips, articles, and advice that given her knowledge, experience, and personality – I know I can trust. I wish I could keep using Beth and Carol forever, but when our time with them ended, I knew that thanks to their help, our baby was off to a great start. I am happy to provide any additional information to families considering using Beth and Carol – nstarkey@gmail.com.

From the moment Beth walked into our house, there was a palpable calm that came over everyone... including my screaming child! Beth listened to every detail of what was going on with our little one, and she helped us in every way possible to get him on the right track. He went from getting up ever 1-2 hours, to getting up once in the night. He went from being totally swaddled, to hands-free and able to put himself to sleep. The change since having Beth, Carol, and Jen come to our house has been unbelievable. We needed sleep, support, guidance, and compassion. We got all of that and more from Beth, and I would so highly recommend her, as well as Carol and Jen, to any parents who are looking for some help.

Beth was absolutely a lifesaver for my family. We had arranged to have a baby nurse come and stay with us 24/7 for two weeks following the birth of my son. We were very disappointed with the baby nurse's service, but, to be honest, didn't know any better. After she left, my son was crying regularly, not sleeping, and we had not been provided with the resources/knowledge of how to work through these times with him. When I recounted the difficulty we were having with my son (and, essentially, the lack of sleep we were getting), a friend insisted I call Beth.  I am so extremely happy we did. Beth began coming to us twice a week (before transitioning down to once a week) and my entire family (my husband, my 3.5 year old daughter and I) would all look forward to her visits each week. Immediately upon entering my house for the first time, Beth stopped my son from crying and armed us with the information and techniques we could/should use to quiet him down when she was not with us. She always checked in with me on the days she was not working for us to see how my son was doing and to ask if I had any questions. She provided me with a detailed summary of her night with him upon her departure. She was always willing to provide different strategies to work through whatever we were facing with him in the moment. She always arrived early and could not do more to help when she was at our home. In short, we are thrilled that I made the call and that we had the opportunity to work with her - I don't know what we would have done without her. If we have a third child, she will be one of the first to know and promptly retained!

I started working with Beth and Carol when my baby boy was about 1 month old. He had some health issues so it was a very upsetting and stressful first month for my husband and I. We needed some help and Beth and Carol were incredible. They put us at ease immediately and handled anything we needed help with. They were so warm and loving with our son. They went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I were getting enough rest so that we could take the best care of our son. They were flexible with our changing schedule and did whatever they could to make sure they could be there when we needed help. I don't have enough amazing or positive things to say about both Beth and Carol. They helped us out so much and I highly highly recommend both of them!

Where do I begin? Beth is one of the most nurturing, capable, caring individuals that my family and I have encountered in our lives. Beth came into our life at a critical time and provided my husband and me with invaluable advice, and our daughter with the best, most vigilant care. Beth truly cared about our well being and our newborn daughter. Her presence at our home was a great comfort to me. I know that we will keep in touch. Any family would be so lucky to have her unmatched kind of help.

Beth is incredible. It is hard to put into words how much she has helped and supported me since my daughter Jordana was born. She cares equally for mom and baby and goes above and beyond in every way. Beth was incredible with Jordana and could calm her in seconds. She taught me everything I know about how to care for her (how to give a bath, file her nails, etc.). She set up the entire nursery, organized all her clothes, organized my kitchen, made me breakfast every morning, the list goes on an on. But most importantly she provided me with tremendous emotional support. It is because of her encouragement that I was able to continue breast feeding - Beth recommended a lactation consultant and even drove to Target to pick up nipple shields for me. She reminded me to take my pain meds and was by my side when I had to call the obgyn in the middle of the night. She texted with me every single day to find out how Jordana was doing and sent me articles, suggestions, whatever i needed. I am honestly devestated to say goodbye to her - I wish she could help me raise Jordana for the next 20 years! I can't recommend her enough and I would love to speak with anyone more about her. Feel free to email me with questions - lauren.ascher1@gmail.com.

Beth arrived our first night home from the hospital.  The next three months, she was our lifeline!  My husband and I would turn to each other every evening when she was on the way, with excitement, and say "our night time miracle worker is coming!"  Beth was extraordinary with our baby, Ethan;  he never cried when she was there.  She got him into a great sleeping schedule within weeks.  She also cooked us breakfast and other foods we requested, cleaned our apt, did laundry, and helped us with all kinds of projects -- putting together Ethan's diaper bag, organizing his clothes, organizing my kitchen, etc.  I would wake up to a sleeping baby and a spotless and organized apt! She was always early and always arrived with a smile.  When we had to say goodbye,  at the end of 3 months, it was extremely sad -- Beth gave us confidence in our abilities as parents and she helped make what can be a very stressful time with a newborn, joyous and exciting.  I could go on and on about her.  Really, anyone would be lucky to have her!  Email if you want more info! Sara.solow@gmail.com. (Also, we stayed in touch for years and she still comes to my kids' birthdays! She's not only a doula but a friend for life!!)

Beth was an absolute godsend to my wife and I after the birth of our twins. There are not words to capture how much Beth meant to our family and what a positive impact she had on our home. We give Beth the highest recommendation possible and would be happy to speak to anyone considering hiring her.

Beth was absolutely amazing with the babies and developed an immediate bond with them that put our minds at ease. She was tremendously knowledgeable and helpful with sleep training and keeping the babies on a schedule. Beth also provided excellent guidance for my wife with breast feeding and was always willing to help out around the house. We were thrilled with Beth as a doula and are happy to now call her our friend.

Beth is absolutely amazing.  She is knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, caring, and absolutely everything you could ever want in a doula.  During the night she would take care of our son (who was in love with her from day one too), cleaned, cooked, addressed thank you notes, and did anything, and everything, else we asked of her.  Even now that our son is 8 months old, she has been a tremendous support system.  I honestly cannot imagine entrusting our son in anyone else!

Glad to speak with anyone personally who might have additional questions!
