Erin Huett

Julia was the back-up doula for the doula we had hired. Our doula had another client in labor when my labor started, so she coordinated for us to work with Julia. You can imagine our initial apprehension in having someone new who didn't know us and our history step in as our doula. We had had a prior traumatic birth experience where we didn't feel supported, so having the right support team was very important to us.

However that apprehension was eased right away by Julia's peaceful presence. She got to know us quickly and offered us various comfort measures to try. She stayed very calm and patient with me when I was ready to give up. She also stayed by my side allowing for my husband to get some rest. When our doula returned, Julia remained for a while longer continuing to provide support and even followed up after our delivery.

Julia's support was instrumental in my positive birth experience and I'm so thankful for the opportunity we had to work with her!
