We welcome you to the beautiful, relaxed space in Birch Family Services for a two day workshop which covers, but is not limited to: Anatomy and Physiology of pregnancy and birth Physical and emotional stages of labor Comfort Measures Birth Preferences Pain Management Interventions and Inductions Cesarean Birth Benefits of having a Doula Breastfeeding Postpartum Plan Postpartum Recovery and Care Newborn Care Whether birthing at home, birth center or hospital, we believe good outcomes happen when fear is replaced with knowledge and confidence of the birth process.
ChildBirth Education Class Weekend Workshop Class Meets Aug 24th & 25th Presented by: Jennifer Buonamassa – Birth Doula, Childbirth Educator, Lactation Educator and Mommy of two. Jennifer focuses on creating a safe and nurturing environment for each class she leads. This fun and interactive workshop will provide you with the information and resources to support and educate you to make informed decisions and empower you to have the birthing experience you desire. Topics Include: Creating a Support Team, Choosing and Communicating with your Care Provider Creating a Birth Plan, Types of Labor, Anatomy and Stages of Labor, Signs of Labor, Comfort Measures, Positioning and Pushing, Pain Management, Interventions, Postpartum Care, Breastfeeding, and Newborn Care.
