Robin was a phenomenol doula from start to finish. Within a few minutes of talking to her at our first meeting both my husband and I could agree that we knew she was "the one".   Not only was she personable, but she was also very knowledgeable and used evidence based practices to guide and support us along the way.  We had the pleasure of meeting Robin twice before our birth during which time we discussed birth preferences, coping mechanisms, fears, and methods to prepare for the birth.  We also discussed challenges we may face during labor, immediately post partum, and once we arrived home with baby.  I must admit I had done endless research, reading and classes to prepare for the birth itself, but i had not given much thought to what would happen once baby arrived. During the labor itself Robin was exceptional.  She was available via phone during the early stages and offered us suggestions and reassured us as needed.  Robin stayed with us for near 24 hours as my labor progressed and also for a few hours post partum.  During the labor itself Robin suggested ways to get the most rest, positions to labor in, and above all she gave me confidence.  She continuously provided reassurance and I trusted her 100% to guide me in the right direction.  When I felt like I was falling apart and could not go on any longer Robin reminded me of my own birth preferences, and walked me through one contraction at a time.  In the early days/weeks post partum Robin checked in daily, and then weekly to make sure we were coping well and to answer any questions we had.  Our last meeting with her was just this week.  It honestly felt like having a family member come over to visit.  We talked about the birth, the ups, and downs, and laughed and cried as we remembered.  I simply cannot express how grateful I am to have had Robin by my side during the birth of my baby.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Robin. I am a first time mom who naturally, was afraid. She explained to me what was happening, when it was happening, she addressed all of my concerns, and opened my eyes up to things I had no idea were even possible for my labor. She helped me achieve the birth plan I desired and I can honestly say I dont think I could have made it through without her and my husband. She was an amazing coach for him as well. i plan to use a doula (hopefully Robin) for every birth.

Robin Weiss, was an extremely valuable resource to me and my husband before, during, and after labor. As someone who really needed a nudge in thinking critcially and not completely emotionally about the birth process, Robin was there to gently ask questions. This helped me come to make the best choices for my body and baby. In the end having Robin there was invaluable.

Robin Elise Weiss has been our doula for all three of our births. She has brought her extensive knowledge about birth, her experiences attending many, many, births and a compassion for the expecting family.
