Client Testimonials for Susan Spector

We absolutely loved working with Susan Spector and would recommend her to any family looking to hire a postpartum doula. I was so grateful to have her services lined up and ready to help us after our birth.
We really appreciated her expertise as a lactation consultation. After getting totally confused by conflicting advice in the hospital (it seemed like every nurse had a different strategy) I really needed to work with just one person to get the hang of breastfeeding. Susan was amazing, kind, gentle, and positive. She really helped me and the baby figure out our own way. She is so encouraging: she made something that I was finding stressful turn in to something relaxing. Once we got the hang of breastfeeding we also had Susan help teach us a lot about infant care. She has a wonderful way with babies. She is gentle, loving, and very natural with babies. She helped teach us things like how to bath our baby (I was expecting it to be a stressful endeavor but it was really lovely), how to cut fingernails, how to wear the baby in some of the carriers we have, and much much more.
I did not quite realize how important it was for us to have Susan as a postpartum doula until after the baby was born. I'm so grateful we found her and she helped make those first few weeks much calmer, and even fun!

Susan Spector was my post natal doula after the birth of my son Benjamin on December 3, 2011. She came to our house two days after we came home and was such a wonderful pillar of support for me. I am a first time mom and her advice and help was invaluable. She was tremendously helpful with breastfeeding support and got me through those first rough few days. She gave me confidence to keep going and not give up. My son is 10 weeks old today and the breastfeeding is going amazingly well. I'm not sure I would have kept going if it weren't for Susan's advice and support. Both my husband and I loved her and felt so comfortable having her around. She came to our house several times a week for the first month after Benjamin was born. I had the best naps ever when she was around because I knew Benjamin was in excellent hands. Susan clearly loves babies and Benjamin adored her. I would recommend Susan to any expecting mother!
