Krista is an amazing post partum doula and lactation consultant. In addition to her extensive training, skills and years of experience, she has a lovely presence and soothing demeanor which helped me relax and feel like things were well taken care of. She was truly able to help the whole family - including recovery from c section, trouble shooting breast feeding issues, loving infant care, preparing delicious meals for the whole family and providing excellent care for our toddler. She really helps new moms with self care, reminding you to eat and rest and allow her to make your life easier. Even as a second-time mom, I had peace of mind knowing our family was in her care. She also made herself available for questions and troubleshooting between visits by phone or email, which was quite helpful as well.

Krista began working with our family after the birth of our first son. The day she started, we knew we had made the right choice. One of her references described her as a fantastic co-pilot and we experienced her the same way. Krista is professional and flexible while being warm and easy to talk to. She assimilated quickly into our home environment and did whatever we needed each day. Sometimes it was taking the baby while I napped, other times it was doing light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning dishes, prepping bottles, ensuring my breast pump was clean and ready to go). Most impactful for me was the level of morale support and guidance she provided on breastfeeding and newborn basics. Her certification as a lactation counselor and background in early childhood development were a real asset in this respect. She educated both me and my husband without coming across as preachy or condescending. While Krista was working with us, I was rushed back to the hospital a week after delivering. As we don’t have family in the area, Krista was the only person my husband felt he could entrust with the care of our newborn son. This speaks volumes about her abilities and her character. I have (will continue to) recommend her to other families in a heartbeat.

From the first time I met Krista I felt comfortable with her ability to provide all my needs with the new reality of caring fo a newborn.  I didn't even realize the obstacles I would face, but with all of her experience Krista was able to anticipate and support me through each turn.  The core of Krista's priority which is to support the family unit through this new phase of life, was always maintained.  Even when I was cutting up and having fun with her, which is very easy to do, Krista would keep her eye on whatever she was doing and not let our conversation distract her.  Krista was a great listener and always helped lead me to my own answers- a great quality she has.  Consistent, professional, skilled, and reliable are the words I would use to describe Krista.  I always had a good day when Krista visited, be it from the baby's laundry to the dinner she helped prepare, or the new swaddling technique I learned.  My son and I owe it to her that we are still nursing!  Everyone needs a "Krista" !

As a first time Mom, I could not have fully prepared for what life would be like when I took my babies home...especially with twins!!  It's such an exciting and happy time, but there are also a lot of challenges and unknowns that you are faced with.  I can't thank Krista enough for the support she provided for my family to help us get through the first couple of months!

Krista is so passionante about what she does...this is so apparent right from the first consulation when she's smiling ear to ear talking about babies and literally jumping out of her seat thinking about something else to tell you!  Krista took excellent care of my girls, was a huge help around the house, and helped me in so many ways.  Krista stressed the importance of taking care of Mom too - something that is easily neglected when you are taking care of two little ones.  Knowing my girls were in good hands, I could relax, take a shower, eat some lunch...all of those little things you can forget to do.

I truly looked forward to every Thursday because I knew Krista was coming and my girls and I were going to have a good day! Thank you so much Krista!
