I found Uta through a random Doula search. I left a message for Uta and received a prompt response. She is very understanding and a very good listener. Uta was the perfect doula for us. She had some good contacts that were willing to act as a back-up
I was skeptical about Womack Hospital, but Utapointed me towards a local OBGYN that we absolutely LOVED!
Uta was great at helping me stay calm. She had lots of encouraging advice about the progression of this pregnancy and helped me stay positive. My husband and I found Uta very comfortable to work with during practice and delivery.
I notified Uta when I went into labor. When labor signs stopped, Uta was confident they would start back up soon, based on my situation. When labor started again, Uta was available for every phone call and every text. She came over when we felt it was not going to stop. Uta noticed that my contractions were hard to track, as they were very close. She suggested we should leave since it was a long drive.
During labor, Uta was phenomenal! I wouldn't have had the delivery I wanted without Uta. She worked with my needs, as they changed. She was understanding, informative, comforting and so much more. Uta stayed with me until I was out of the delivery room. She took lots of pictures and gave me a detailed summary of my delivery. The next day, when the midwife came to check on me, she asked how I found Uta. She was very impressed and raved about how she was the best doula she'd ever worked with. She said most doula's she's worked with make her wonder why people pay them, but not Uta. She wanted her contact information to pass out to patients when requested. The whole labor and delivery ward was raving about her for days!!
Uta followed up with me during the weeks post delivery and visited with me and my new baby. Our experience with her was amazing. She was the main ingredient to my perfect delivery!

My husband and I live in a different state than our family and my husband travels for his job. I was so afraid of going into labor and being alone that I considered looking for a Doula. I also wanted to have a natural birth, drug free, and use forms of hypnobirthing. My husband and mother are clueless in this department and did not fully understand what I was trying to achieve. We hired Uta as a back up in case my husband or mother was not here when I went into labor jand as a support system for my natural delivery that I wanted. My pregnancy went past 40 weeks and both my husband and mother was there. The delivery was 36 hours long and ended in a C-Section Uta stayed the entire time and waited with my mother while I was in surgury. We kept telling her to go home and get rest, I felt so bad because no one could have predicted it to be so long, but she stayed and helped and gave emotional support to all of us. I met with Uta twice before I went into labor. She was very helpful, has a lot of resources, and is very knowlegable in just about every aspect of pregnancy and labor. She is very willing to work with you to see that your wishes are granted and that your delivery is just the way you want it to be. Uta is a kind, compassionate, woman and would be a great support system for any woman during her delivery.
