Sunny Lohmann

When I got pregnant for the first time in my life at the age of 40 on the heels of a major illness I knew I needed help. We hired Gabby after interviewing many potential doulas and it was a great decision! She took initiative researching my illness and possible complications, she sent me articles, answered all my questions, and in our visits before the birth we crafted a birth plan that was perfect for ME. I had no idea what I was doing, but Gabby did, and she helped me figure it all out. Gabby is wonderful because she has extensive knowledge, she shared her opinions, but made me feel completely comfortable making my own decisions whatever they were.

My labor and delivery ended up being very difficult. It took 34 hours and stretched over two nights. Gabby was by my side through it all, nurturing and helpful. After my beautiful daughter was born we hired Gabby to help more postpartum than originally expected because we trusted her and needed her. There is no one I would have rather had by my side through the whole experience. She feels like part of the family now.
