My experience with Meg started a lifetime ago at a small Catholic school, where we were classmates. Never did I dream that years later she would help my partner and I deliver our first child. She is as focused as she is funny. She fought hard to ensure that our birth plan was a success. She even grabbed phones to take pictures throughout the process. We never felt unsure or scared, she is the perfect guide through the burning miracle. Cannot recommend her enough. She's a blessing!

Hiring Meg as our doula was one of the best decisions we could have ever made!  Since we were first time parents, there were several times throughout the pregnancy that things came up and we just needed reassurance that it was normal. Meg was always available to answer questions, no matter how silly or small they may have seemed.  Meg also worked through our birth plan with us, helping us to clarify and streamline it.  When things began to deviate from our birth plan due to circumstances out of our control, Meg helped us navigate the changes.  When induction became the necessary choice and my partner began her 56 hours of labor, Meg was the calming presence we needed.  She came to the hospital as soon as we told her we needed her and helped us determine the best choices for us during labor.  Meg's experience provided us with an arsenal of "tools" to use during the long labor that we would not have had if we were alone, including ways to get baby to turn and help the labor process continue and ways to help my partner feel as comfortable as possible.  After baby was born, Meg stayed with us to ensure we did not need anything but was respectful of our time and space as a new family of three.  She continued to check in on us via text and a follow up postpartum visit after baby was born.

I recommend Meg to all of our friends who are expecting.  Trust me, you will not regret it.  I tell everyone that Meg was just as much of a support for me, if not more, as she was for my partner.  It was so reassuring having Meg with us.

My husband and I could not have been happier to have Meg present through the birth of our son (our first child) and to hire her for her extremely helpful postpartum services. We found Meg through Doula Match and had a wonderful informational meeting with her where we instantly felt comfortable and in good hands. I had a medical condition that was diagnosed mid-pregnancy and was looking for a doula for additional support through the third trimester and in the delivery room. Meg provided excellent support for both me and my husband, and was always a phone call or email away with helpful suggestions and resources. It truly helped relieve our anxieties.
Throughout labor and delivery she was a wonderful resource and source of support, helping us know when to go to the hospital and making sure that our birth wishes were respected and that our questions were being answered in the delivery room.
After the birth of our son Meg kept in touch, and we were happy to hire her for her postpartum overnight doula services multiple times. Our son was not a sleeper in his early weeks and we were completely exausted and in need of help. We felt totally at ease having her care for our son in the next room over while we were able to get some much needed rest. Meg is such a caring professional and truly wonderful at what she does. My husband and I can't recommend her services enough!!

My husband and I recently had our first child, with Megan as our doula.  As my pregnancy was verynlow risk, we wanted to try for a low intervention birth at Women and Infants.  She was absolutely incredible (and this is even an understatement).

I began having contractions on a Monday morning and she was available for us to call and text the entire day; giving us advice and listening to our wishes and concerns.  She came to the hospital with us that night around 7pm, because it was what we wanted (even though she had a feeling I wasn't ready). We were sent home, but she was so encouraging  in such a discouraging time. As I continued to labor thfought the night she was still on call for us and eventually ended up back at our house at 9am the next morning.  She spent the entire day with us, working to get the baby into a good postion for labor.  She was such a wealth of knowledge and experience and was able to help us labor at home for as long as I could handle. (Without Megan, I know we would have been at the hospital much sooner and would not have had the delivery that we wanted.

She then spent the next 12 hours with us at the hospital. She was exactly what I needed in terms of encouragement.  She worked me through my contractions and eventually through my hours of pushing.

Megan was a rock and never showed her fatigue or seemed discouraged at my lack of progress.  My husband and I are so thankful to have had her at our side during the birth.  Our team was complete with Megan's hard work.

I CANNOT RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH OR GIVE HER HIGH ENOUGH PRAISE. She is worth every penny for pre, during, and post delivery.  Thank you thank you thank you!!!

We tried very hard to make the arrival of the second as peaceful as possible, and we were so very lucky to have met Megan. Overnight dula care with Meg was very much like welcoming a calm and knowledgeable friend into our home and entrusting those first nights to her care. She is the best of all worlds; young and energetic, as well as wise and thoughtful in the ways of womens health. We slept, Meg brought the baby to me when he needed to eat and then cared for the rest of his needs through the night. In this way, I was able to; rest and heal from my second c section in a healthful way, successfully breastfeed, and have enough energy to care for my toddler through the days. Thanks to Meg, our home transitioned from one child to two with a well rested dad and a happy mom. We could not have done it without her.

My husband and I decided to get a doula for the birth of our first child.  We found Megan on the RI doula website and quickly set up an appointment to meet with her.  We knew in the first 5 minutes of meeting her that she was the perfect fit for us!  She met with us a few times before our due date to discuss our plans for the birth along with offering us information on a plethora of baby topics!  She was always very prompt in getting back to us if we had questions between meetings and was very good at checking in with me when my due date was getting closer, she was also super supportive when I was getting frustrated for going over a week past my due date!

When we finally did go into labor we contacted Megan and she went into full doula mode.  While I stayed home during early labor she would check in on my hourly and even offered to come to my home.  When it was time to go to the hospital we let Meg know and she was on her way there too!  I was checked at the hospital and it was recommended that I return home since we still had quite a bit of time.  Meg returned to our house with us at 11:00pm where we stayed until 5am when we returned to the hospital.  My son was born that same day at 3:00 in the afternoon!  It was a very long labor but Meg stayed by our side the entire 18 hours!  Our experience would not have been the same without Megan.  We are first time parents and without her we would have felt lost in the whole process, the time she spent with us was invaluable.  We could not thank her enough for her support during such an important time in our lives.

My husband and I HIGHLY recommend having a doula after our experience with Megan and will DEFINITELY use her again if and when we decide to have another child.

I decided early on to find a doula as I wanted to have a drug free birth. I looked up a bunch of local doulas, and I kept coming back to Megan's page. From our first meeting, my SO and I loved her. We decided to hire her without meeting anyone else. She was friendly and warm. She reminded us of ourselves and our friends - around our age, relaxed, funny - it was like having a conversation with a friend that happened to know a lot about birth.  Megan gave us so much support and information throughout my pregnancy. When it came time to deliver things didn't go exactly as planned. I got to the hospital and my son was born 15 minutes later! Megan got there right as I was crowning. She jumped in, held my hand, and talked me through it. We didn't have the chance to do any of the stuff we talked about. But I wouldn't change anything about how my birth went or Megan'a involvement in it.  I would definitely want Megan as my doula if there is a second pregnancy :)

From our first meeting with Megan we knew we wanted her to be a part of our birth team. Megan is extremely kind, soft-mannered, and very knowledgeable about pregnancy and labor. She was always just a phone call away if we had questions along the way and made sure we felt as comfortable as possible before our first child arrived.

During the labor and delivery Megan was an invaluable part of the team. There were many times that I asked her to get me through one more contraction and she was always there to help me focus and regain my strength.

If I'm ever pregnant again, I won't hesitate to have Megan be our doula. She is wonderful!

I was so happy to have Meg with us for the birth of our daughter! From the very first time we met her at our informational meeting, she made both my husband and me feel very comfortable, and we actually hired her right there on the spot! She was very accommodating about the location of our meetings and never made me feel rushed. She provided some very helpful resources I didn't know about and wouldn't have thought of, and in talkiing with her I was able to ask better questions of my midwife so I felt better prepared, even though this was my second birth. In the weeks before the birth, she checked up on me, which I appreciated because I knew I was still on her mind, and when I texted her that I thought I might be in early labor, she called me back within minutes. I was very pleased with her accessibility and communication during this time, as my primary concern was about when to leave for the hospital. She met us at the hospital right around the time when I was going to start pushing (though I don't really remember and it was all going quite quickly by that time!) and she was right there with me for the rest of the birth. She was very supportive of both me and my husband, as I knew her help would be worth it even if all she did was tell him what to say to me! I was especially glad to have her there at the very end when a complication come up, which we got through fine, but she was able to reassure my husband who was very worried. I was so excited to have a natural VBAC! She satyed with me for a while afterwards, even after my husband had left to go check on our son, which he wouldn't have felt comfortable doing if she wasn't there with me.  And then she came to the house for a post partum visit when I was ready - she was not pushy at all. She listened to me reflect on the experience without any judgment. Meg is a super sweet person who felt like a good friend right away and I would definitely recommend her as a doula for her calming presence!

If you are considering hiring a doula I must tell you that she will be one of the most important people you will ever hire. You want someone you are instantly comfortable with, someone who listens and provides advice or even better, her own experiences to help guide you through a process that you may or may not have experienced before.  Megan has all of these qualities and that is exactly why we hired her.

During my pregnancy Megan provided a lot of phone support, especially during my "overdue" days. She was a constant friend/professional and one of the only people who called in to check on ME. When I finally went into labor Megan met us at the hospital. When Megan walked into my room I was overcome with emotion and burst into tears. Upon seeing her I felt 100% ready to go into labor and birth my second child into the world. Megan's presence gave me strength, confidence, comfort and warmth.

Megan kept me relaxed while urging me to change positions so Liara could join us in this world. I remember hearing her saying during some of my hardest contractions, “relax your face,” and with that I would take a deep breath and use all my mental energy to let my body do its work and keep the rest of myself at ease. And because of this my body reaped the benefits of bouncing back so quickly after birth.

Megan brought me back down to the ground when I started to get a tad overwhelmed as the final phase of labor began—pushing my beautiful baby girl into my arms. I heard her voice reminding me to listen to my midwife. I was able to tune everything out in the room and listen to Megan guide me to my midwife's voice which then guided me in birthing my daughter. Megan and my midwife naturally fell in sync with one another and because of that a power came over me and Liara was born.

I had a planned unmedicated birth in a hospital because I had a wonderful support group that included Megan as my doula.

I was very skeptical about having a Doula in the room with us during the birth of our second child, but I'm so glad we did. Not only did she put my wife at ease, she kept the environment calm and neutral. She had a thorough understanding of our birth plan, and made sure that any situation that arose which was contrary to our wishes was handled quickly, which allowed me to continue to be there for my wife.

Megan, my wife and I had a great, almost comical back and forth going on with us (a very unexpected and very welcome distraction), which made the time pass quickly. We had more than 1 belly (no pun intended) laugh when a nurse came in and we joked about her slipping some Pitocin into a randomly delivered brownie.

While I don’t know what the future holds with regards to having more children, I will most certainly be having Megan at any births that may be in our future. Thank you Megan for making the birth so low stress and memorable.

I can't recommend her enough.
