Client Testimonials for Carol Hengescht PCD(DONA), CLC
Mike & Angela Reilly
We were fortunate that Carol was available to assist us with three of our four children. Our first experience with Carol was after the birth of our twin boys. At the time, we were unsure if we needed a doula, which is quite hilarious in hindsight. However, Carol continually came up as highly recommended from a number of coworkers, and we decided to give it a shot. Carol was clear that she saw her job was to help Mom in any manner necessary. That is exactly what she did. We found Carol to be a valued resource and truly, a member of the family. She was a great resource for "all things baby", drawing on her past doula experiences. A great example: baby slings. Carol let us try out her selection of slings so we could decide on a style instead of purchasing all of them. Carol was able to provide a point of view on any topic we brought up, which we found helpful and reassuring as we worked our way through the craziness of twins. She was a steadying hand during those crucial early months, allowing us to focus on our children.
We found ourselves pleasantly surprised nine months later, when we became pregnant with our fourth child. After finding out, our first call was to Carol, even before family and friends, to see if she would be available. After our great experience with the twins, we couldn't see ourselves going through the birth of another child without Carol!
We found Carol to be trustworthy, insightful and knowledgeable. Most importantly, she was gentle and caring with both our children and Mom. Carol Hengescht receives our highest recommendation.

Carol was everything an exhausted parent needed when faced with another newborn: energetic, knowledgeable, patient, reliable. She handled my intense, high-need infant as well as keeping my 5-year old at bay! She was particularly helpful with breastfeeding support. I highly recommend Carol and would be happy to answer any questions.
