Client Testimonials for Tonya Gosnell
Sabrina Byers
Our son was born January 27th, 2012. He is our first child, and we wanted the most natural experience, so having a doula came highly recommended. We were new to South Carolina and found Tonya’s service in a local advertisement. After meeting with her we knew we found the perfect fit. Tonya’s approach to coaching labor was very relaxing and provided me with several useful techniques that allowed me to deliver naturally while minimizing pain. While my husband and I are both medically trained, my husband is a doctor and I am a nurse, we wanted a safe but natural child birthing experience. Tonya was great about working alongside and communicating our wishes to the nurses and doctors. We would highly recommend her and would love to use her again!

My son Chanze was born 07/18/2012, Yes this is also her grandson. This was my first child and I really was empressed how knowledgable my mother was with her doula service. I was amazed at what my options where and it was good to know "my rights" vs. what the doctor or hospital prefers you to do. Mama (tata) was very calm, and accomated me. I never knew rowing my legs like a bicycle would help releave pain, or that relaxing allows you barely have to push. I only had 4 hours of labor, and three pushes my son was here. No epidural, or pain medication. I learned the upside to this was I was free of I.V lines and not commeted to the bed. With out her none of this would have been possible I high recommend TaTa as your doula, couch, and friend. She definitly has a gift.
