A few weeks prior to the birth of my now 6 month old daughter Cleopatra I was introduced to 2 beautiful women named Stephanie & Lindsey Thibodeau. They were God sent to say the least. They made me feel incredibly comfortable and were very personable. My pregnancy was very tulmultous. Lindsey really managed to take down my concerns regarding, the father, my mother, my father and myself all being in the same room, and a just my fear of pushing out a baby, oh and let's not forget my incredible phobia of needles and blood. The feeling of having someone on your side despite your background or history with whomever was exactly what Lindsey provided for me. She managed to acquire peace and serenity in the utmost of horrendous family situations. I had nothing set up for my baby to sleep in because i truly believed she would be at least a week overdue. Once again my doulas, had set up everything for my baby before me coming home. When i was in labour Lindsey walked with me for an hr (which should have been a half hr walk if that, BUT i was pregnant and wanted a specific juice), She stayed by my side the entire time, she managed to coach my rowdy family and friends in the hospital lobby and managed to ease tensions between my God fearing divorcee parents and my tattoo ridden boyfriend. Very importantly though she managed to be my voice in the medical field and as a human. She voiced all my concerns and needs as if she were me. I dont even have the words to express my gratitude because was it not for my doulas holding my hand, grabbing my knees, and coaxing me when everyone else was yelling at me to push, i surely believe i would have suffered from postpartum despression. What i loved most is that the love and caring didnt end abruptly after the birth, the connection was there, is here and will remain. I would recommend Lindsey Thibodeau to anyone looking for a partner, a friend and a knowledgeable doula in this miracle process.
