Relevant volunteer or advocacy work: I have attended two home births (aside from my own) as the Midwife's assistant/birth doula and have contributed to two Childbirth Education courses in 2011-2012. My heart's desire is to become a Certified Professional Midwife but will not be able to start the apprentice portion until I leave military service. If you wish for me to attend your birth (free of charge, of course) I will be there during my non-duty hours (which my hours are normally 7am-4:30pm).
Postpartum limits/restrictions: As an active duty military member, I am able to offer my services during non-duty hours. I am available to clients M-F: 5pm-Overnight and Sat-Sun: Anytime. These weekday hours also work well for my clients because the afternoon/evening is the "fussy" time of the day for babies, and it gives families a chance to catch their breath if they've had a particularly intense day. I also specialize in placenta encapsulation or helping make a placenta tree/placenta print if desired.
Postpartum doula hourly rate: Not specified Fee details: I can work with families based on their financial situation, my regular rate is $15/hour. A home visit prior to the birth is included. This will help us get acquainted and maximize your plan as to what your desires are. As stated above, I would be honored to be your birth attendant at your birth, free of charge, while I am not at my job on base.
Client Testimonials for Roxy Coble
Vanessa Esquibel
During my pregnancy, labor and delivery, Roxanna was amazing! She relayed such strength and encouragement every step of the way, making great suggestions for my comfort with pain relief and relaxation techniques, massage, and laboring positions. None of my crazy late night "could be labor" calls went unanswered, lol. Thank you so much Roxy!

Roxy was an amazing blessing to myself and my husband during and after the birth of our son, in May of 2011. We met in a random chance on Facebook after I had posted about looking for childbirth classes in Wichita Falls, since my husband and I were moving to the area. She referred me to the midwife she used with her 2nd daughter, which was great news because I just so happened to be looking for a midwife as well. Leading up to my birth, Roxy became a close confidant and friend. The first time I met her, she immediately gave me a big hug and brought 4 books with her to let me borrow, that were awesome resources of information for my natural birth. She consistently sent me text messages of encouragement and offered a listening ear if I needed to talk. I asked her to attend my home birth; she was so supportive and brought a few things to help during my labour. Afterwards she stopped by and visited me on multiple occasions and even brought some information to help my husband get his time off with the air force. She then took time to write down her memory of everything that happened during the course of my labour and gave it to me as my birth story, which brought tears to my eyes. I will never forget the special things she did to make the moments surrounding the birth of our baby memorable. Roxy is a truly caring and selfless person and I know, with certainty, that anyone would be lucky to have her as their Postpartum doula!
