Client Testimonials for Candice Jones

We wouldn't have hired a doula if our midwife group didn't require it. My husband is a medical resident used to staying awake for days on end and perfectly used to the sight of blood, etc. He is a good encourager and we work well together. Why would we need an extra person? Reluctantly, we interviewed multiple doulas and decided to go with Candice... And we are so glad we did! We're glad we had a doula, and we're glad we chose Candice! Candice didn't make me feel foolish when she was already at our apartment and my labor stopped progressing. She just went home and came back later. Candice didn't get in the way. She had a way of being in the background, yet having everything under control and being there when we needed her. She knew what we needed before we did. Candice made us feel calm. She reassured us with a soothing voice and just pumped peacefulness into the room. Candice gave me great back and leg massages. She helped us carry all of our stuff out the door. She always answered her phone or returned my calls quickly. Whenever my husband hears me recommending Candice to someone, he always pipes in that he would recommend Candice too!

My experience with Candice was amazing! The two preparatory meetings we had before going into labor helped to put my partner and me at ease. I had a long labor, and Candice was there through it all - from the first call at 1:30am ("we think this might be it... should we go to the hospital?") to 1:05am the next morning when our baby boy was born.
My labor was not just long, but was fraught with somewhat unexpected health concerns, and at least one shift change at the hospital. Candice remained as a bright spot of reliability through it all - she knew what my partner and I wanted and was familiar enough with both of us and our personalities that she knew when to ask what questions. Her presence really allowed my partner to be fully present with me, rather than worrying about the doctors and nurses.
I honestly can't imagine what my labor would have been like without Candice being a part of it. I know that the whole process - from my seventh month of pregnancy until our baby boy was in my arms - would have been a more scary, more lonely, and less happy prospect without her.
I'm happy to be reached out to with any questions or an over the phone endorsement of Candice's services.
