Client Testimonials for Vicki Verougstraete

Vicki attended the birth of my daughter. From the moment we met, I knew she was a great choice. She was super attentive. She made sure that I was comfortable and helped keep me and my husband calm and focused during the delivery. Vicki went out of her way to make sure my needs were met. She also did several unexpected things to make the moment special- such as writing out my daughter's birth story and taking photos while my husband and I focused on our family. I wish I had met Vicki sooner, and I hope she will be available when I need her services in the future.

Our first son, Levi, was born on January 6, 2011. I had asked Vicki if she would be my doula shortly after finding out I was pregnant. She agreed and was very excited for my husband and I! I wanted to have a natural birth and as my due date grew closer Vicki educated me (as well as my husband) on what to expect when that special time comes! She was very informative and caring about all of our questions and desires for the birth experience we hoped to have. A month before our little boy was due he flipped and decided he wanted to be in the breech position! Vicki gave me different stretches and things to possibly help him to turn. My doctor continued checking me every week and apparently our little boy was very comfortable where he was at and stayed in that breech position. Finally, as much as I had desired to have a natural birth and have Vicki as my doula through labor, my doctor scheduled me for a csection. On the morning we were scheduled, Vicki was there bright and early to cheer us on and to meet our sweet little Levi. Even though my birthing plan did not go as expected, our baby boy was happy and healthy and everything went well. Vicki got to meet Levi shortly after he was born and we were so thankful that she was able to be a part of that amazing day with us. We are now expecting our second and have high hopes that Vicki will be able to be my doula through a natural child birth, Lord willing! Thanks Vicki, we love you :)
