Debbie has been my doula for all 3 of my children. She was wonderful, and I could not imagine my birthing processes without her in them. All 3 of my births and birthing plans were different. With my first she was there to rub my back and be my support person through the 17-hour labor of my little girl.  I was so scared, but Debbie kept me focused through the birthing process.   My second birth I was determined to go natural, and almost changed my mind, but Debbie's encouragement and knowledge kept me going strong, and I'm so glad I was able to deliver my son naturally.  My third birth was only a 3-hour labor, I was able to go natural, and with 2 pushes had another baby boy.  Debbie stayed with me after each birth to be sure myself, and my babies were doing well.  I'm so very glad I was able to share these 3 experiences with Debbie, they were better because of her presence, and I cannot thank her enough!

Deb was my doula for the birth of our second daughter.  Boy do I wish that I had her for our first born!  She was so helpful and I don't know if I could have done it (natural birth) without her.  My huband and Deb were the perfect birthing team.  Deb was there to coach me through breathing and keep me focused.  She massaged me when I needed it and encouraged me to go on when I thought I was ready to give up. I have to admit, that I was a little nervous about having another person in the birthing room with me (other than my husband).  But Deb was so professional and her presence was nothing but appreciated once the intense labor started.  She was not at all pushy nor did she ever make me feel uncomfortable.  It was quite the opposite.  She really helped me feel at ease and gave me the confidence that I could deliver my baby naturally.  If we have another baby I will definitely be using her services again.  She is an excellent doula and I would recommend her to anyone looking for one!

I was considered high risk during my pregnancy due to hypertension. I went into the hospital for a routine ultrasound and was told I needed to go to labor and delivery right away because my amniotic fluid was alarmingly low. It turns out the hypertension caused the placenta to be too taxed and the baby wasn't getting the nutrients he needed. It was neccesary for me to be induced to get labor started. My husband called Deb and she was there within the hour. There were many scary instances during my labor...the baby's heart rate would drop every time I would change positions. Each time it dropped the doctor suggested I have a C-section. He suggested this three times and with the help of Deb and my husband I was able to stay strong and verbalize to him that it was my wish to have the baby naturally. I am not sure that I would have been strong enough to stick to my natural birth plan if Deb wasn't there. After about 7 hours of labor I delivered a beautiful baby boy, naturally. He was quite small, but perfectly healthy. And now, seven months later, you'd never know what a little peanut he was.

While my birthing experience wasn't what I planned, and at times it was downright scary, I am so glad Deb was there. She provided comfort to me with massage (she knew where I held my tension because I saw her every month for prenatal massage) and conversation. Deb was also a big help in comforting my husband by talking to him when I couldn't. Often times child birth doesn't go as planned, but if you surround yourself with calming people who know your wishes, it makes the experience a memorable one. I would reccomend Deb to anyone looking for the caring, loving support of a Doula.

Deb was our Doula for our first pregnancy. As expected, my husband and I were both nervous! Deb was amazing! She came to our house around 8 p.m. She sat with us for hours and kept us calm while I labored at home. We headed to the hospital around 1 a.m. Deb helped to make sure we were comfortable, helped me find comfortable positions and provided massage, which was amazing! All said and done, Deb stayed with us for about 29 hours until our Becky was born. It was a marathon and I'm not sure we could have completed the natural childbirth without her amazing support. I recommend Deb to anyone I know who is expecting. She's wonderful!
