Fee Details: Package Pricing available, the more services included in the package the less expensive the whole package is. These are my personal prices however we can always refer you to someone that may work with your finances. MamaKazoo has student Doulas that are available at a lower cost. Postpartum Doula Experience: 12 years and 275 families served

Specific certifications for the above: I was trained by DONA through the MOMS network in Indianapolis, IN in 1999 and hands on training with CNM's and chose NOT to be certified with any national organization rather I have continued to educate myself by recieving CEU's through organizations (ICAN, LLL,NMBC) by attending workshops and conferences. By chosing not to be "certified" I am able to form and follow my own requirements of professionalism.

Type of Practice: Partnership with 2 or more doulas

Clients per Month: 1 to 3 births and 1 to 6 postpartum families

Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
The Professional Labor Support Services I provide are welcomed at all three local hospitals. Bronson, Borgess and South Haven Community Hospital
Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers
No Birth Centers in our area
Attends home births? Some Home Births
Home Birth clients that have been under the care of a CPM and a CPM is expected to attend the delivery at home. The home Birth MUST have been a planned event not a last minute decision to "stay home"

Childbirth Education Certifications

  • Successfully deliverd 4 children with midwives and no interventions. I have recieved CEU's from Birthing from Within, Penny Simpkins Labor Support Workshop, Henci Goer's Childbirth Education Workshop and Marshden Wagner's Childbirth Education Workshop and ICAN (International Caesaran Awareness Network)

Breastfeeding Certifications

  • Successfully breastfed 4 children and assisted many mothers over the years. Have recieved CEU'S from LLL of Michigan and currently taking classes to become a Lacation Educator
