Sheila was a great doula. She did Hypnobirthing classes with my husband and I and we decided we wanted her there with us in the hospital. She was really great about discussing everything I wanted beforehand and then really made sure I was able to do things the way I wanted during my sons birth. She was amazing at reading me and knowing what I was feeling and making suggestions for how to make me more comfortable during labor without me having to say much. It was also really important to me that my mom and my husband be a big part of the labor and delivery and Sheila was great and suggesting things for them to do and keeping them involved without them overwhelming me. She kept me calm and I was able to have my completely natural birth that I so badly wanted . I couldn't have done it without her there. We will definitely use her again for our future children!

Sheila was a wonderful part of my birthing experience.  She was graciously willing to accommodate me despite the fact that I contacted her in my 9th month!  After attending a child birth class at the hospital, I decided that it was best to have a natural birth-- and wanted a doula to assist me in putting together a birthing plan for the hospital, in the hopes of avoiding unnecessary medical procedures.  Sheila met with me the very next day after I contacted her and put together an individualized plan for my husband and me.  This was our first baby and we were so happy to have Sheila's support both before the labor and at the hospital.  Not only did she provide us with both physical and emotional support during the labor and delivery, but she also could give us options and knowledge of what to expect.  I highly recommend Sheila as an essential assistant to both the mother and father during the birth planning process, labor, delivery, and postpartem bonding and breastfeeding.

 Sheila was my doula for the birth of my 2nd child.  She was a huge help & don't think I could've had a natural birth without her or the hypnobirthing techniques.  My labor went extremely well - Sheila came to our house & helped us decide when to go to the hospital.  Was 7 cm dilated upon arrival to hospital!  During my labor, she helped me try different positions & had warm packs to help with back labor.  She helped direct my husband, so he could be more supportive as well.  I highly recommend Sheila as a doula & hypnobirthing instructor!
