My wife and I are very happy to recommend Corinne Friedrich. She and her partner Lena Wood made the birth of our first child a profoundly positive experience. Corinne was originally our back-up doula but due to her being present at all of our prenatal doula visits we felt extremely comfortable with her as well as our main doula Lena. When our son was ready to be born, Lena was with another client, so Corinne ended up being our birth doula. We faced quite a few scenarios and challenges that we had not anticipated. Corinne helped us weigh our options and try alternate strategies (for example: acupressure massage to help labor progress) as each unexpected stumbling block arose. Her knowledge in the birth process, hospital protocol, and pain-management techniques were invaluable to us. Another benefit was that during our labor and birth, Corinne (and Lena who was with us part of the time) took detailed notes, which they compiled to create a birth story. It’s a wonderful memento that we will always treasure.

Corinne has been a wonderful source of support and care for us since we met her in the months leading up to the birth of our son in March 2012. When I think of Corinne, a few characteristics that come to mind are: kind, good listener, non-judgmental, thoughtful, focused, strong, patient and supportive. Her sensitivity, open-mindedness and positive energy were just what we needed as we planned our birth experience and went through the birth process. Throughout labor and delivery, she helped us roll with whatever came our way and was a wonderful advocate, coach, nurse, and friend throughout. I can't think of anyone better to have been there with us for one of the most important moments of our lives. She is truly amazing.

Corinne felt like part of the family for the few months we spent with her. She was knowledgable and always compassionate. She listened to us, was always thoughtful and thorough in her suggestions, and she was so sweet with our four-year-old soon-to-be big brother. I know the love and attention Corinne gave him made the strange experience of preparing for and welcoming a new baby easier for him. On the day of our birth. Corinne was supportive but completely unobtrusive. My husband and I were totally immersed in the experience, and she was there every step of the way to offer massage, water, suggestions to make me more comfortable, and anything else we needed. I highly recommend Corinne, and I'm so grateful for all she's done for us.

We were so lucky to find Corinne. After interviewing several doulas who were not the right match for us, and even questioning whether or not we really "needed" one, we knew quickly on meeting her that Corinne was a perfect fit. She has a very kind and gentle way about her but is extremely knowledgable, and helped us to organize our priorities and more clearly delineate what we were hoping for and expecting in the birth of our second child. She was helpful and supportive in my goal to avoid induction, helped to brainstorm and problem solve to encourage progress in early labor, and encouraged our critical thinking and decision making as a couple along the way. She offerred hands-on support as needed, input/advice when asked, and the opportunity for a nap for my husband (amidst my prolonged 18hr labor)!. We have both said that, if not for Corinne, we could easily see the labor/birth process taking a very different course. She helped us to feel confident in ourselves and our strength, and to trust in the beautiful natural process.

We used Corinne as our birth doula and couldn't have been happier with our experience. We met with her several times before the delivery to make sure we were all on the same page with the entire process. I was in labor for more than 10 hours and Corrine stayed with me the entire time, offering support, suggestions and just helping me feel more comfortable. I suffered through back labor during the last few hours and don’t think I would have been able to endure the pain without her. Unfortunately after two hours of pushing, I had to be put under for an emergency c-section and Corrine wasn’t allowed to be in the room for the actual delivery. As soon as they brought out my baby to meet my husband, she was there with him taking pictures to make sure I didn’t miss any of his first moments. She stayed with us until I was back recovering in my room then came to visit and brought us dinner once we were home. I still stay in touch with Corrine even though we have moved out of the area and feel like she is an important person in my baby’s life. I highly recommend Corrine and wouldn’t hesitate to use her as my birth doula again.

Corinne is a wonderful doula! She came and met with my husband and I multiple times before our son was born. After the first visit we knew that she was the right fit for us. She came prepared with documentation for us to review, and she was open to discuss any and all of our questions. I felt comfortable knowing that she was there to help us have the birth experience that we wanted. Unfortunately, my son decided that he was not going to flip over and engage. He was in the frank breach position at 38 weeks! We decided to go in for a version and Corinne came along to provide support. She also sent me numerous articles on how to flip a breach baby. Unfortunately, there just wasn't enough room in there for our little guy to flip, so I ended up with a c-section. Our hospital only allowed one support person in the room with us during the surgery, and my husband was that person, so Corinne was not allowed to be there to support us in that way. But she still came to the hospital and waited in the waiting room until our son was born. She was the first person other than my husband, myself and the hospital staff to hold our little one. Even if you end up with a c-section, having a doula is still a great experience. I wish that she would have been allowed in the operating room because once my husband left with the baby, I was in there all by myself (well with the Dr's), but I felt kind of alone at that point. It would have been nice to have her company. The support that Corinne provided all through our prenatal visits, even after we found out the baby was breach, and all the way through birth was wonderful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a doula to help enhance your childbirth experience.

Corinne is an amazing Doula! She listened to my husband and I, and made sure that our wishes were met during the birth process. She is very good at educating and making sure you are prepared, and what to expect before the big day comes. I never once had to ask twice for anything with her by my side. She makes sure that you have the birth experience that you want and helps to put together a plan that meets the expectations of that plan. Corinne really made me feel like I was in control of the birth of my child, and did what I asked of her. She also helped to make sure the nurses and midwife did the same. I would highly recomend her to anyone who is looking for a Doula!
