Client Testimonials for Kaitlin & Vanessa Manville
Imelda Barela
Kaitlin and Vanessa are what the fruit of the Spirit is; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Considering the short time they were with me during labor and how fast I progressed, Vanessa applied pressure on my lower back as I had back labor. Kaitlin's soft voice, telling me to relax, was very encouraging. Just hearing that simple word, relax, helped me to stay focused to do just that. They arrived 10 to 15 minutes before Michael James was born. This tells me they were ready and prepared to be on their way, no matter what time they received a green light. This told me they were serious about doing their best to be on time.
They remained calm and self-controlled in their words and actions, as Michael James was born and my midwife had not arrived yet. Their calm-spirit helped my dear husband, Israel, to remain at ease, as he held sweet, baby Michael. Kaitlin took initiative by suggesting a more comfortable postion for me as I was leaning forward against the bed and on my knees. My husband held the baby, whom was still attached to me thru the umbilical cord. Kaitlin, Vanessa and my husband all worked together to help me sit down on the floor after they helped lay the towels. As soon as I sat down, my husband put Michael James in my arms. Michael James's cry woke up all other six children in the early morning. They woke up a couple at a time. Kaitlin and Vanessa helped by comforting and holding some of the little ones. Kaitlin and Vanessa were ready to help! They make a great team and anybody would be blessed to have as doulas!

Kaitlin & Vanessa are kind, thoughtful, and overall spectacular!
As first time parents, my husband and I were very nervous about the delivery process considering that no one can really know what to expect. Kaitlin & Vanessa were a God-send to us. They spoke with us a number of times before our due date and answered all our questions or timely followed up. Based on their responses and actions, I felt that they truly listened to our wishes and concerns.
When I called them with news of contractions, I already knew they were well prepared. Once they met us, their personalities alone helped keep the environment calm and relaxing. As contractions intensified throughout the day, they guided my husband and me to work together with the breathing, massages and heated rice socks. We also used the birthing ball. They offered various methods to manage the pain. They gave me the attention and focus that I needed.
Their knowledge and support made the entire process of labor and delivery special and memorable (instead of tense and unbearable). We cannot imagine what it would have been like without them and highly recommend their services.
