Client Testimonials for Corrie Busch

Corrie and I met with her being my back-up doula. I am so grateful she was too! I officially met her in early labor and her and I just clicked. She was so calm and loving throughout labor and held the space for my husband and I while providing all the support I needed. I didn't need to ask her to do anything for me, she just knew what my body needed ie. water, wet washcloth, double hip squeeze, direct pressure, new position, etc. I remember when I was transitioning to more active labor she gently told me that the contractions wouldn't get worse, they would just be longer. That was the most simple but helpful comment I needed to hear. I knew with the support she provided I could handle longer contractions. My birth experience was everything I dreamed it would be and I know she played a big part in creating that environment and holding the space. Her postpartum support with breast feeding and talking about baby blues was everything I needed too. She was the safe listening ear I needed and gave great advice and support. I know I will be calling her for our next baby. I would recommend her to anyone.

Corrie was wonderful! I was pregnant with my third child and had never had a doula when I met corrie through a yahoo group. We met in person and I liked her immediately so she became my doula. My only concern was that my husband has always assisted with my births and I didn't want him to feel like his job had been taken over. That was not the case at all, Corrie would see if he wanted her to show him what I needed. Corrie was so good at reading my body language and just knowing what I needed that he stayed back and let her help me most of the time. He saw that I was much more in control and calm during this labor then with our other two children. Having Corrie there assisting me also allowed my husband to catch our new baby, which he had never been able to do before and it was an awesome experience. Corrie was there with me from when I thought I might be in labor and was still at home, till the baby was born at the birth center. It was well over 12 hours, but she was supportive and wonderful the entire time. If we were planning on having anymore children, I would definitely have Corrie by side again. I am so happy we met by chance and I she was able to be there:)
