Meagan was a true blessing to me. This was my second pregnancy and I wanted VBAC.  My first pregnancy resulted in an emergency induction, C-section and postpartum depression. It was traumatic.  I became pregnant when my first born was 3 years old.  When we met,  felt a connection and she seemed very spiritual which I found important.  She was my pillar of emotional grounding.   When I went past my due date and began to worry the doctor would pressure me, she offered to go to my appointments with me.  I was in early labor for about 3-4 weeks.   She called me one day when I was tired of being pregnant and she said she was coming right over.  That moment in my kitchen, as she talked me through my fears, meant so much.  It was11 days past the EDD.  I went into labor that night.  She came over around 4am and I was in a lot of pain quickly and beginning to feel hysterical, ready for someone to take over.  My water broke and it began to get more intense.  We decided to head to the hospital. Meagan was in the hospital room and supported me and my husband.  I felt an inner resolve and strength as I began pushing and once I realized my son's head was right there, I felt powerful. This was the moment I knew I was birthing my son VBAC.  My baby boy was ready to enter the world.  Meagan stayed with me while I held my baby and tried to nurse. Meagan is a STRONG advocate for nursing. It was not easy for my son and I to nurse.  We had an amazing birth day together but our nursing relationship was bumpy.  Meagan offered her support and encouragement to get through the tough times.  During  postpartum period, I was feeling low.  I'm happy to say that I made it through the pregnancy, birth and postpartum days with a positive attitude.  In fact, I am still nursing my son 18 months later!

Meagan was extremely helpful and supportive during my labor and delivery. I appreciated her support in my less than ideal circumstances. She was also a neutral caregiver, which I really needed with our extended family around. She was very in tune with my needs, level of comfort, and emotions. She was very thoughtful with her follow-up of my birth experience. It was so nice to have someone present who was truly invested in my needs. I believe every mother should have a doula present during her birth experience and Meagan reinforced these beliefs for me!

Meagan wonderfully supported me during my pregnancy and 40 very tough hours of labor. In a profession often opinionated, she was kind and sincere and respected all of my thoughts and ideas. During labor, she explained the medical terms I was bombarded with and held my hand when I needed it the most. She also came to visit my son and me afterwards to make sure we were ok. I would definitely recommend Meagan to any mom-to-be!
