Marcy Tracy Doula Profile

 I would highly recommend Marcy to anyone interested in hiring a doula in the months leading up to birth and during labor; she is warm, compassionate, and very attentive. She checked in with me often in the weeks leading up to my due date and made me feel very supported. She also went well beyond what could be expected of her and stayed with us from the early morning I was admitted for an induction until finally, 24 hours later, my daughter's birth. Although I was induced, I never felt any need for analgesics of any kind, and Marcy helped support me so that I could achieve the birth I wanted. This was my third child but my first with a doula and having experienced both, I would definitely go with a doula again. My daughter's birth was nothing short of miraculous to me, and Marcy is an important part of how I will always remember that beautfiul event.

My husband and I are so pleased with our doula experience.  We can't imagine the labor and delivery without Marcy's presence!  She gave great confidence, support, and encouragement.  The labor was a quick 6 hours and I didn't request any pain meds.  Every mama should have a doula!

Our doula experience with Marcy was wonderful.  She was extremely helpful and supportive during the lead-up to our son's birth date, and we met with her several times to be as prepared as we could be.  Marcy was also mentoring a "doula-in-training" named Natalie, and she was super nice as well and we got to know her too.  On the day of my wife's labor, Marcy and Natalie were amazingly supportive, and as a husband the best part for me was that I had two women who could rub my wife's back, squeeze her hips, and constantly attend to her every physical need - this meant that I could focus more on my wife's emotional needs - though Marcy and Natalie took care of that too!   Finally, Marcy has been available for post-partum duties (even though we didn't specifically employ her for these) and she always takes our calls and answers all of our questions whenever we have any.  I highly recommend using Marcy's services, we are certainly glad we did.

My husband and I knew we wanted a Doula present at the birth of our first child to offer support, encouragement and insight to us both.
Luckily we chose Marcy who offered all three and much, much more.  We had a fairly quick and manageable labor using all of the natural techniques and methods we had practiced previously; however,  our birth didn't exactly go as "planned".  Marcy was there with us every step of the way and well after to answer questions and ease my mind in the decisions that we had made.  Living 1,500 miles away from family, Marcy quickly welcomed us into her loving circle of light and we are so thankful she was with us to provide guidance and love throughout the first week of our sons life. We feel very blessed and would recommend her services without hesitation.

Marcy was a lifesaver to a drowning woman!  I was not prepared for the challenges of new (firstime) motherhood, but thanks to Marcy I regained some some sanity in those early days.  She provided care and comfort to me as well as to my daughter.  We talked a great deal about different styles of parenting, and her counsel was invaluable.  I would highly recommend using Marcy as a post partum doula. 

Marcy was very supportive when my grandmother was dying and passed away just days before the birth of our first child. I was an emotional wreck and she was there to listen and help me sort out whether to induce before my due date in the hopes of being able to introduce my baby to her great grandmother.  She called often before my delivery to check on me.

I was so thankful to have Marcy, an experienced Doula, to call during my pregnancy, at my home water birth and available for questions after the newness of my son's arrival.  It was great to have someone that is full of knowledge for this amazing time in my life.  As a single mom, it was great to have her on my support team.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I am so thankful to have had Marcy to consult with and guide us through my pregnancy, labor, and after my daughter was born.  She was very supportive and knowleadgeable, someone I felt I could call with all of my crazy questions.  This was my second child, and I knew I needed a Doula this time around, even though I was probably going to go with an epidural.  I also knew I probably wouldn't have my doctor deliver my child (and I didn't, it was a doctor from another practice), and I needed Marcy there as an advocate for myself and my family, so that I wasn't just being told what was happening to me and was offered choices instead.  Postpartum, she was amazing as well and helped supportive me through some problems with breastfeeding.  I still call her for advice and my daughter is now six months old.  Thank you Marcy!!!

Sometimes there just aren't the right words to express how important a person has been in your life and that is the case with Marcy.  Not only is she a compassionate and caring human being, but her skills as a doula were vital to us during our birthing process .  She was attuned to my needs prenatally, without being overly "teachy".  She simply gave my husband and I the information we needed and provided the necessasry support throughout the process.  In addition, she was very proactive in making sure that we had thourough birth plan, bringing up questions and points we didn't even know we needed to think about beforehand...we were so grateful for her insight!  Our labor and delivery was exactly what we hoped for and we couldn't have done it without her.  Her help during the post-partum period was also invaluable!!!  Little did we know how much a tiny being could turn our world upside down.  My husband and I both feel we would have been lost in the weeks following our sons' birth without her help.  Overall, Marcy is an extremely knowledgeable, professional and amazing doula and I highly recommend her to all my friends!
