Client Testimonials for Ingrid Lee

I chose Ingrid after meeting with a couple other doulas. What struck me first about her was her warmth and genuine care about my pregnancy. She is friendly, often funny and easy going, which helps tremendously for calming nerves.
Ingrid, along with my husband, helped me come to terms with a birth experience that wasn't what I had planned or hoped for. I had to have a ceserean section due to a breech position. There were some further complications that proved the day very stressful, and Ingrid was there to soothe me and keep me and my husband calm throughout the day post-op. She told me later that I was her first c-section birth, and you wouldn't have known it based on her poise and caring. Post partum I faced other challenges, and Ingrid was never more than a phone call or text away to give me advice or just be a supportive voice. After baby, husband and I got into our routine, our other post partum meetings were full of happy!
I forsee many years as a Doula in Ingrid's future, and consider anyone who chooses her to share your wonderful day lucky and blessed!

Ingrid is an exceptional doula! She is passionate, very knowledgable and extremely patient. Ingrid has a calming, compassionate personality, she is easy to work with and a great listener. She understood our desires for a natural birth and supported our goals before, during and after the birth of our daughter.
Ingrid listened closely to our goals and even helped us create our birth plan, when we asked her for input. Our goal was a natural birth and although I ended up having an emergency c-section, I still felt that my goals were achieved; because I labored naturally for 48 hours something I could only have done with Ingrid by my side, which she was--for the whole time!
Ingrid made sure both my husband and I stayed hydrated, fed, and gave my husband a chance to rest in the middle of the long labor. Ingrid constantly worked with me offering many positions to ease my labor and breathing techniques. At each decision we had to make along the way Ingrid offered thoughful perspective and encouragement. At every part of our birth journey I felt that Ingrid believed in my goals and in me, even when I wasn't sure I could keep going. Ingrid is a great coach and care-giver!
After our birth several nurses made a point to tell us how wonderful they thought Ingrid was. They felt she was very easy to work with and were in awe of the strong support she provided my husband and I. Ingrid also visited us after we were home and processed the experience with us. We would highly recommend Ingrid to anyone looking for a supportive, open-minded, wonderful doula!

Ingrid immediately understood our philosophy on childbirth and our needs as a couple. She connected with us and wanted to support all of our birth goals. Every meeting she had with us confirmed for me that she would be easy to work with at our birth, and this turned out to be true. She was so wonderful! She stayed by my side through over 24 hours of labor and post-partum support. She held my hand all the way and helped me to stay strong and stand by my birth plan even when I didn't think I could keep going. She had great suggestions to help my labor progress when it was slowing, and she encouraged my husband get some rest in the middle of the night while she stayed by my side. She helped my family and me with the emotional aspects of labor and birth, and she checked in on us after we had settled in at home with our new baby. I had a great experience with Ingrid, and I would recommend her to all my friends!
