I found it very reassuring to have Ariana available to answer our questions. I was trying for a second baby, a VBAC, and I was very nervous about it, considering I had never laboured at all during my first pregnancy when I had a scheduled C-section.
Ariana always responded promptly (email too) and had an answer for any question I had, and she followed up promptly with more information when warranted. She also provided birthing book and website suggestions, all of which were very helpful.
When my labour started and I was unsure if they were real, it was so great to be able to contact Ariana easily by phone (text message too!). Ariana provided me with the extra encouragement I needed to get me through my labour. She was able to fill in support for those 'only a woman knows how to support another woman" situations. My husband was there too and it was very helpful for her to be there for him as well, so he wasn't going through supporting me all alone; and when he needed to leave the room for food or pay for the parking, he had the assurance that I wasn't left by myself.
Ariana's RMT experience was great pre-, during and post- labour to help with labour-related pains. A bonus was that I was able to claim back some of the cost of the services, as a RMT service!
