Client Testimonials for Kat Cameron
Reanna Jacobs
Kat was my doula for my pregnancy and birth of my first child, Jack, and I do not think that I could have had a more positive and relaxing experience if it weren't for her. Kat provided me with comfort, reassurance, and strength throughout my pregnancy and especially during my labor and birth. She was open and receptive to my birth wishes (I preferred to have a natural birth...which I did...but was open to an epidural) and provided me with lots of information on the birth process, relaxation tips, and various natural strategies to manage pain and contractions. When I went into labor, Kat was there within minutes to guide me through the process and was a great source of comfort and strength. I did the majority of my laboring at home, and Kat was prepared to make me as comfortable as possible through massage and encouraging words. When we arrived at the hospital, Kat was with me the entire time acting as my advocate when I could not speak. She coached me throughout the pushing process, and Jack Elliott was born naturally within minutes. The whole experience was so positive and surreal, and dad and I were in awe as to how smooth and easy the birth of our first son was. We attribute this mainy to Kat as she set the tone for the both of us to follow. I strongly reccommend doulas for pregnancy and birth, and Kat is one of the best! If you are fortunate enough to have Kat as your doula, you are certain to have a beautiful and positive experience.

I would like to offer a strong, personal reccomendation for Kat Cameron to be your doula. I can say with absolute certainty that if it were not for her calm, peaceful, reassuring presence then the birth of our son would not have gone anywhere nearly as smooth as it did.
During pregnancy Kat made several visits to explain what the birth experience is typically like, to offer different suggestions for ways to deal with labor, and to help develop a birth plan. When Reanna went into labor she was there with us to help us manage the contractions through massage and reassurance, to make decisions in those hectic moments, and to be with us en route to the hospital. In fact, I credit Kat's presence as the reason why Reanna was able to so comfortably manage the bulk of her labor at home. At one point Reanna was even answering Jeopardy! questions in the midst of a contraction!
When we arrived at the hospital and Reanna was 9cm dialated she brought great comfort to me, and especially to Reanna, as they whizzed us away to get ready for a quick birth and she soothed us through those final intense moments. Kat was a great birth team leader and we will be forever grateful to her for helping make our experience such a wonderful and positive memory.

Kat was invaluable during both the later stages of my pregnancy as well as the day that we gave birth. She worked with me and my husband about relaxation techniques, focal points, mantras, as well as formulating a birth plan. She was sweet and had a very soothing demeanor. On the day we gave birth labor started progressing quickly while we were at home and the advice that she had given us was all put to use! Due to the speed of progression, we met her at the hospital after she offered coaching over the phone. She had us checked in and a wheelchair ready as we pulled up. She was completely involved during all stages of my labor, offering just the right amount of encouragement, massage, and water! She made my husband feel confident in his abilities as my partner, she was part of everything yet completely unobtrusive. I would highly recommend Kat as a birth doula.
