Client Testimonials for Tammy Uva
Stacy Dees
I hired Tammy three weeks before my due date when my partner and I started to consider a home birth. Even if we needed to have a hospital birth we thought having a doula would help us manage hospital staff and avoid unnecessary medical interventions. This was our first child and we felt insecure about the unexpected. After hiring Tammy, I had to call her a week later - she did not initiate contact despite me being only 2 weeks from my due date. When with me, she spent a fair amount of time on the phone with other clients. She used a "tens unit" back pain relieving device which the midwife told me to take off immediately when she saw it. I believe the use of that device slowed my labor (my labor turned into 3 days) and lead to the potentially dangerous meconium in my water. She misread her "new" blood pressure wristworn device and told me my blood pressure was high. Due to the extended labor and quality of care at home, we decided to transfer to a hospital. Tammy did not attend the birth of my daughter in the hospital. She did not provie post partum services. She did not refund any of her fees after only providing brief and questionable services.
