Attends hospital births? All Hospitals I support women in whatever type of birth they desire. Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers Attends home births? Some Home Births I love homebirths with a midwife! I strongly believe in a woman's right and ability to birth unassisted, but, I cannot personally attend unassisted births.

The first thing I was sure of when I found out I was pregnant was that I would ask Gail to be my doula. We had become quick friends and colleagues after meeting at our doula training and because Gail had already been working in the field for quite some time, she became my mentor, as well. Upon learning that I was pregnant, I knew I would have a doula and I knew it had to be Gail.
Gail is a wealth of knowledge about pregnancy, labor, childbirth, breastfeeding, raising children, and more. She provides a complete answer for everything and will never leave a question or concern unattended. Gail is kind, attentive, and intuitive and during my labor she brought these qualities and more, allowing me to remain focused, confident and present. Most importantly, Gail will always lend you her non-judgemental ear and open, empathetic, concerned heart. Whether via email, text, phone conversation or in person, her positive and warm energy and words of empowerment and wisdom always manage to refocus me and be the best mama and woman I can be!
I am so proud and honored to have had Gail at my birth and I am eternally grateful for having her throughout my pregnancy. Her warmth, compassion, commitment and love cannot be measured or matched.

Gail was our doula for the birth of our second daughter this December. She is an amazing doula, and I would highly recommend her. She was wonderfully supportive through all phases of my pregnancy, birth, and post-partum. She is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, and helpful. Although I had planned on a natural/unmedicated birth experience, I ended up with a c-section. Gail helped me have a truly positive birth experience, despite things not going as I had planned. In fact, her encouragement and sound advice helped me listen to my own intuition--which was telling me the baby was not in the head-down position in my last week of pregnancy. At my 39-week check-up, a sonogram revealed my baby was, as I suspected, breech! Torn between trying everything I could to "turn" the baby into the "right" position and trying to listen to what my body and the baby were telling me, I relied heavily on Gail for support. She helped me examine all my options, sift through what was appropriate for me and what was not, and, finally, after trying a few turning techniques, I was able to "let go" and trust that the baby was doing what s/he needed to do. When my water broke, Gail accompanied us to the hospital, where it was determined that the baby was still breech and I'd have a c-section. Gail helped calm me and my husband pre-op, and though doulas are not allowed in the OR, she followed up the next day, offering to come check in on me in the hospital if I wanted. She also came for a home visit once I was discharged from Good Sam. All I can say is that Gail is a fantastic labor support doula and a great person. My husband and I are truly grateful she was our doula, are totally satisfied with her services, and would highly recommend her.
