Client Testimonials for Heidi Morefield, M.Sc., EMT-B, CD(DONA), ICPFE

Heidi was a great support person for me and my husband before, during, and after the birth of my son. She was knowledgeable about all the options I was considering, supported and reassured me as I made choices along the way, and, most importantly, was a listening ear when I really needed someone to talk to. I highly recommend her doula services to anyone looking for a calming, helpful presence throughout their birth!

I wanted to provide a testimonial for Heidi. She delivered my little girl in August of 2011. In looking for a doula, I wanted someone who would provide a balanced perspective enabling us to make our own choices, prepare us for child birth, work well with the hospital staff and support us through a drug-free delivery. Heidi met each of these needs in spades. She was able to answer every question we had, provide multiple perspectives and allowed us to truly make up our own minds about what we wanted for our labor. In the delivery process itself, the physician was late to the hospital and the labor and delivery unit was at capacity, so Heidi was the only person with us through the majority of labor. I felt completely comfortable as she helped us through every step. Finally, I gave birth at a hospital known for high c-section and epidural rates with a medical staff that is less than receptive to doulas. It was very important to me that our doula be able to cooperate with the medical staff and foster a supportive environment during delivery. Heidi excelled here. She put both our physician and nursing staff at ease while still advocating for our wishes. I recommend her very highly.
