Client Testimonials for Lynn Wolf
Krista Jones
I recently hired Lynn to be my Doula for the birth of my third child. What appealed to me about Lynn was her calm demeanor, her kind spirit, her passion for moms and the delivery process, and the fact that she had recently had a baby herself, so she really could relate to what I was going through. Hiring Lynn as my Doula was one of the best decisions I could have made for myself and my family. This labor and delivery was a much more positive experience than the other two, and that is in large part to Lynn. She was there for me from the very beginning, ansering my every question, calming my fears, and offering endless support and laboring advice. As soon as my labor began she was the first person I called, and she was by my side in 10 minutes. Throughout my labor she worked tirelessly to comfort me, massaging my back during every contraction for the full 7 hours of my active labor. She knew just what I needed to make me comfortable, and just what my husband and I needed to put us at ease. Knowing that she was there for me and that she had been through it all too, was such a comfort for me. Even though my husband and I had been through labor and delivery 2 times before, we both agreed that having Lynn there to help us was priceless. I wish I had found Lynn 5 years ago, and that she could have been there for my first two labors!

I hired Lynn as my birth doula about halfway through my pregnancy when I transferred care from an OB to a midwife-team. I felt extremely confident in Lynn's abilities, found her to be very professional, and was impressed with the fact that she is studying to be a midwife (her knowledge of midwifery would be helpful in the event of a fast birth since my midwives live an hour away from my home). Lynn stayed in constant contact with me - offering advice and support throughout the pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum. She visited my home several times for emotional support and labor practice sessions; loaned me invaluable reading materials as she sensed my need to further release any natural birthing fears; studied-up on acupressure to help with pain relief during labor; provided tools to help me learn relaxation techniques; called frequently as I neared the birthdate, for check-ups on my physical and emotional status. My labor came on very fast, and by the time my husband called everyone, I was almost ready to push! But, Lynn was always a steady labor and delivery companion, keeping me focused and feeling confident. Lynn was an immense help after the birth of my daughter. She called regularly, brought over a delicious, nutritious, organic meal for my family, and even offered to entertain my two young boys at the park for an afternoon! Lynn provided breastfeeding support and help with newborn latch issues, and is an on-going resource for future questions and advice. I feel that Lynn has a beautiful spirit, a genuine heart, and an overwhelming willingness to help women birth the way God intended. -- Tara (To read my homebirth story, visit www.madsenmanor.blogspot.com, January 2011 post: "The Road Less Traveled.")
