Doula Training

• Self-trained, March 2024

Type of practice: Solo practice

Clients per month: 0 to 4 births and 0 to 4 postpartum families

Postpartum limits/restrictions: I do light housework, but not deep cleaning. No mopping, cleaning toilets, or folding adult underwear. I cannot care for animals just in case something unfortunate happens. I cannot drive my clients car, nor am I permitted to drive my client or any member of their family.

Attends hospital births? All Hospitals
I am currently nearing the end of my training with MaternityWise to become a certified birth doula, postpartum doula, and lactation educator. I am currently caring for three families in order to receive my certification. I am certified to attend a c-section at TGH. I can provide positions to labor and birth in during an epidural or natural pain relief. Please read my services at birth centers to see everything I provide.

Attends birth center births? All Birth Centers
I provide physical and mental comfort. Soothing music/noises with a speaker, massage (I am not a certified massage therapist but have been told I give great massages :), I have to rebozo to help relieve pain, hip squeezes and other pain-relieving techniques, essential oils, birth ball, lip balm, and uplifting words. I am also working towards my lactation education certification so I can help with breastfeeding education.

Attends home births? Any Home Birth
Everything said in regards to birth centers. I will not attend a planned unassisted birth (this means without a medical caregiver)

Fee Details

Prenatal, birth and postpartum package (12 hrs of postpartum care)- $1,300 Prenatal and birth only package- $950 Postpartum package only- $35 an hr day shift, $45 an hr during the night
