Nichole Johnson Doula Profile

Nicole is an amazing doula. My husband and I are so happy we found her. She was amazing! She was amazing with our two year old daughter. My labor progressed extremely fast and she knew right away when she got to our house that we needed to leave.  She helped me through the back to back contractions and I wouldn't have been able to stay calm in the car on the way to the hospital if it wasn't for her. I had complications after the birth due to the size of the baby and speed of delivery and she helped look after my two girls so my husband could be with me. She took amazing pictures of the birth and encapsulated my placenta for me. It was an amazing experience. I had the natural birth I wanted and I couldn't have done it without her. I highly reccomend Nicole if you are looking for a doula. I'm also more than happy to speak with anyone on her behalf.

Can someone whos never skydived teach you too just cause they took classes or read books having never done it? No! Well I wouldn't want em to! My point in this is despite how many classes my wife and I took, how many books we read when the time came. I was not qualified to coach her thru labor. How could I tell her everything was fine, ok, it would be over soon, etc being a man who has not and cannot go thru labor. We are several states away from Nichole, but I wish we would have used the care and expertise of a doula, our labor experience turned out how we expected but We both know it was alot tougher without a Doula. Next time, For Sure! When I would tell her remember this try that, I would get, "How do you know?" " I took a bunch of classes". The nurse would come in give some ideas she would listen they would work. She would listen because they had children and were "qualified" to tell her. This was not the nurses job so it was not very often when they did. Now we also had some family there..Wow, it only made things worse. I think the fact that they didnt have the continual atmosphere of birthing experiences and the constant educational advancements that doulas partake in is the reason why. Nichole is an amazing person full of love, knowledge and joy. I called when we first found out, at the office, I was at a dead end on my wifes and mine hopes for childbirth she guided us thru so much and always knew the answers for a plethora of questions we had, whether by text, FB message or phone call she was always available. I can't say we would not have figured it out but she made our path to the birth of our beautiful son Asa so much easier. No classes, no books can prepare anyone to be as much service as much help as these women who are so lucky to make it their lives and make the experience one to cherish and not fear good luck everyone much love, Nick Bradshaw, Asa Paul Bradshaw 11-28-11

My husband and I hired Nichole to turn my placenta into pills - and she was absolutely wonderful!  With a new baby and 2 kiddos even the simple process of getting my placenta to Nichole was difficult from our end - but she was a blessing.  She helped us arrange transportation and had the pills ready in less than 48 hours.  She was so easy to work with - thanks, Nichole!

My husband and I were impressed with Nichole at the first meeting. She was very knowledgeable and prepared to discuss any questions we had for her. With only three weeks to my due date, she was able to be flexible with her schedule to meet when it was convenient for me. Prior to the birth, she met with me several times to go over my birth preferences, offered her support and answered any questions I had. She was always checking in on me to know if I needed anything. Even though I had an unavoidable circumstance which required a c-section, Nichole was there for me all the way. She helped keep me relaxed during the procedure and created an environment of tranquility. Her support was not just for me, but extended to my husband as well. Having her there as a helping hand took some of the pressure off my husband, knowing that I was being provided for both emotionally and physically. Having Nichole there as part of my daughter's birth was an invaluable experience that I can look back upon and remember with joy. I highly recommend Nichole to anyone looking for a wonderful and memorable birth experience!

We enlisted Nicole's assistance when I was two weeks out from returning to work, and my six-week-old son would not take a bottle. Nicole was incredibly helpful. She was flexible, willing to come to our home at any time that worked for us; knowledgeable; patient; and personable. My mother (and soon-to-be care provider) and husband, with whom Nicole did the bulk of the work, both felt like Nicole's support through the transition to bottles was valuable, especially with regard to the amount of moral support she provided--prior, my husband was feeling like it was hopeless, so having such a competant, caring supporter made all the difference. We highly recommend Nicole for post-partem assistance.

 I first saw Nicole's placenta prints and encapsulation work at the 24 hour post partum visit of a client. I was so impressed by the quality of her work that I have put a reference page for her in the information I give out to clients when they come into midwifery care with me. My experience has been that she retrieves the placenta within a few hours of the birth and has it back to the client within 24 hours. The prints she does are truly a work of art and I am impressed every time. I highly recommend Nicole because she is knowlegeable, reliable and great to work with. I would certainly refer clients to her that are looking for a doula as well because my experience with her has been so positive.

 We knew from our first meeting with Nichole that she would be an excellent doula for us. We weren't disappointed! While I was pregnant, she was always prepared and brought great ideas to each of our meetings. Anytime I had a question, she was quick to respond with helpful information. Nichole was flexible with her services based on our needs and made sure that we were supported in the best way possible. During the birth she was truely wonderful. She was kind, caring, supportive, and knew exactly what to do to make the birth of our second daughter a treasured event. She was vital in creating an atmosphere in the birthing room that allowed both mother and father follow our hearts and bodies without having to worry about the details.
