Crysta Parkinson Doula Profile

Right from the moment I got in touch with Crysta about about pregnancy, she always treated me like her "most important" client.  I would get responses to questions from her right away, and I never felt like she was too busy for me during my pregnancy.  I can tell that she is passionate about pregnancy, birth, and babies by the way that she puts her best foot forward in her work.   Around the time of my due date she made sure to keep in touch and see how I was doing.  Although she is very professional in her work, she is also very gentle and nurturing.  On the day of my labour, she was at my side within 10 minutes of receiving my phone call saying that I needed her with me.  My labour was very intense from the start, and she never left my side.  She encouraged me through each contraction, and rubbed my back when it got painful.  She knows many different positions to labour in that I found helpful, and where to apply pressure on my back to help ease the back pain through contractions.  I was very thankful to have a doula, and very thankful that it was Crysta. I felt very at ease and comfortable with her.  It was wonderful to have her there to help take some pressure off of my husband too.  He was running around trying to get everything ready from the birth pool blown up and filled, to making sure our older daughter was looked after, and it was nice for him to know that I wasn't alone through the painful contractions.  From start to finish Crysta was there for me, and truly went above and beyond as a doula! 

I wish I would have had a doula with my first child, but am so thankful that I had one this time! I completely recommend Crysta and her partner at Cyber Doulas. Both are very generous in spirit, will make you feel extra special, and take time to get to know you and what you desire from your birth experiance.  

I had a wonderful birthing experience with my doula, Crysta.  I had only met Crysta once before she became my doula and I felt comfortable with her right from the start.  I did not have a doula with my first child, but am so very glad I did with my second.  I was induced with this pregnancy and the contractions came on a lot stronger than with my first.  Crysta was right there by my side the entire time holding my hand and talking me through each contraction.  Her voice was soft and encouraging.  My husband was in the room as well, but he does not do so good with me in pain, so having Crysta there was help for both of us.  I did get an epidural but after everything was done I'm pretty sure I could have gone without one, all thanks to the support of my doulas.  I was lucky enough to have two doulas with me during this birth, Crysta and Karli, and if we decide to have another child I will be contacting these women again. 

I had a very positive experience having Crysta as my doula. She was always available for me to ask questions to. She offered different pain management techniques as well as many resources to prepare me to be a nursing mother. Crysta was willing to support me in any way that I needed, whether it be through various phone conversations, or accompaning me to the hospital for check ups. Crysta included my husband during the delivery process making him feel comfortable as well. During my pregnancy Crysta helped to make me feel supported and  helped me gain confidence in myself. I am very thankful Crysta was my doula and would recommend her to anyone who wants a doula. She is amazing!
