Hello! Asalamwaleikum! I was a preschool teacher for close to 10 years; working in Reggio Emillia and with Horizons For Homeless Children which specializes in the emotional needs of unhoused children, providing unhoused families with high quality trauma informed care. I am able to offer trauma informed care to my doula clients and families. I am a practicing herbalist specializing in herbs for labor and delivery, postpartum and herbal remedies for infants and toddlers. I am currently on the board of the Holistic Birth Collective, a birth justice organization local to South East Chicago. I also worked as a doula for Chicago Volunteer Doulas serving clients with diverse needs and situations; including c-sections births . One of Chicago's few active Muslim doulas I serve the Muslim community with an understanding of how being able to express ourselves religiously and spiritually in the birthing space is important to Muslim and other families where faith and spirituality is an important part of the birthing experience.

Hi! Salam I offer sliding scale fees based on the honor system. If you are able consider funding the birth of families in need, I am happy to offer free services to those needing support.
