Attends hospital births? Some Hospitals
I am primarily a home birth doula. Should a mother need to transfer to hospital I am happy to go with her.
Attends birth center births? Some Birth Centers
There are no birth centres where I live.
Attends home births? Any Home Birth
Both my children were born at home when I was 36 and 43 years young. I am passionate about supporting and educating pregnant and birthing women due to my personal homebirth journey. We are sovereign beings with the ability to exercise our personal agency. Because of my experience of attending home and hospital births I choose to focus primarily on supporting and attending home births.

I was looking for a very hands off experience outside of the medical system with the birth of my son. I wanted to have support from women who were not fearful of the birth process. I had to be extraordinarily picky with who I surrounded myself with in pregnancy, and who I invited into my birthing space. Odette was the perfect woman for the job. With love, tenderness and care, she mirrored my strength and innate knowing back to me, barely saying a word. Just as I wanted. Odette respected me and honoured my wishes, I felt that in all of her actions. And I truly believe that is hard(er) to come by in the birth world. Over the course of my pregnancy and postpartum we had several wonderful visits. She helped me navigate things that came up for me and was someone I could trust with anything. I knew she would not judge me or try to "fix" me.
I had the pleasure of also attending private prenatal yoga classes with Odette in her beautiful studio at her home. Her yogic knowledge and bodily awareness is wildly impressive. She really helped me to land in my body and move with grace, awareness and intention. She even initiated me to a mantra over the course of my pregnancy that was grounding and so special. I still use it as a reminder of my strength and oneness with source. After our sessions I had a wonderful feeling of harmony that would stay with me for days after. It was a real gift.
Odette is a very spiritually present person. She is honest, compassionate and leads with her heart. Whether bringing rasberry leaf from her garden for tea, or chicken chilli postpartum, her thoughtful personal touches and attention to the little details were so appreciated. Odette is very knowledgable about all things birth and postpartum. But it's not just "knowledge" she holds, it's unteachable wisdom. A rare and beautiful person, inside and out. I would absolutely have her again for any subsequent children I am blessed with.
Thank you Odette <3
