Client Testimonials for Dayna OGorman
Ryan and Hanna Randolph
We couldn't have dreamed of having a better Doula nor a better experience with Dayna. She is simply amazing! She is warm, trustworthy, extremely wise, and cares deeply for her families. With Dayna you are not just "another client or patient", you are family. Dayna was beyond helpful in the delivery of both our children. We have since moved from the area and my husband and I joke that we can't have anymore children because we are too far for Dayna, she would have to fly to the hospital.
Dayna worked with us and our wants and desires for the deliveries of our children. She is not bent on "her" way being the way things have to go. Dayna is very flexible and values your hopes and wishes above her own. She is extremely humble and is truly there to serve you and your husband. She also is not afraid to stand up for you the mother and father when you need or want her to. She desires everyone's safety as a top priority. Her compassion and reassurance to both myself and my husband was critical during a few frightening moments in our deliveries. She is not there to replace anyone's role in the birthing process but there as a priceless guide, companion and friend through it all. She is very professional and handles herself in a manner that draws respect and admiration from Dr.s and Nurses. Actually it was our amazing Dr. who recommended we contact her.
Dayna is the queen of patience. She never made us feel silly or stupid for asking questions (and we asked a ton of questions) or for just flat out not knowing something. We are honored to share our recommendation and we were blessed to have Dayna help bring our children into the world! Hiring Dayna was the best decision we made when having our children!

With Dayna you get the whole package. We used Dayna when we had our first child. She was very informative and gave us great guidance on how to prepare for childbirth. She could answer any question or concern we had leading up to the birth. Our sessions were very informational and helpful. She knows how to deal with anxiety, physical preparation, and partnership with both parents. She was very accessible and flexible to our schedule as well as keeping us informed with her schedule.
During the labor, she was always focused on us and determined to give us the experience we were hoping for. Even when the labor became more difficult, she strived to continue to give us the labor we desired while still keeping the baby's safety in focus and a priority.
Overall, we were very pleased and couldn't have asked for a more helpful and informed doula.

Dayna was both reachable and informative prior to labor. We wanted a doula who was willing to work with me because I have chronic lower back pain, and Dayna was able to offer us tips and stretches that were good for that kind of pain. She could easily be reached by phone or email, and the two sessions that we had prior to the birthdate were very helpful and reassuring. She was a calming presence when labor started. We actually did not need to use her services for as much as we thought because when I arrived at the hospital, I was dilated completely and ready to push. However, we were very grateful for her connection to Olathe Medical Center because she was able to call ahead and let the nurses know that I was on my way and that I would need a wheelchair. She stayed after the birth to help me with breastfeeding, and I was very appreciative of that. I would recommend Dayna to any woman who is interested in having a doula. She fulfilled our expectations thoroughly.

After having too much pain (and no epidural) with my first child and having side effects from the epidural with my second, I wanted a better alternative. I was very lucky to find Dayna. She is so knowledgeable and supportive. She was also a great support to my family during the delivery. I told her several times before the delivery that I might cave and get the epidural anyway, but I wanted to give it a good go of it. With her help, I was able to stay in control and on top of the pain. I didn't get the epidural, but I know if that had been my decision, Dayna would have respected it. Dayna is a great person and a great Doula!
