Anna Morgan Doula Profile

Anna Morgan is an ANGEL to whom I owe much thanks!!! Being a doula myself, I know a good one when I see one, and she really is a good one! I called Anna because I wanted someone I could trust would take exceptional care of my sister after she had her second baby. Although it pained me a great deal to have to leave my sister after the birth of her son, I have a family of my own and could not stay in Tennessee any longer than I had already stayed. (I live in Florida). After talking to many doulas, I chose Anna and she did NOT let me down. Anna did not only go above and beyond her duties as a doula while my mother and I were paying her, but she also continued to help my sister after she stopped being paid! She became a person whom is very dear to my sister, mother and myself. It is so difficult to be away from family, especially during times like that, but it was comforting to know that my sister had someone who was so kind and compassionate with her. WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH, ANNA!! God bless you.

Anna has been a God send.  Anna has taken to our twins and cared  for them in a loving way.  She has given us peace of mind knowing that she treats them as well as she would treat her own children.  We have been able to get sleep which helps us to be better able to handle our work in the day.  She is full of energy and charisma.  She knows how to comfort and care for babies and offers great advice for us as parents.  She listens to our needs and we can't thank her enough for the help she has given.  I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for birthing help or postpartum help.

I gave birth to my darling baby girl last July, and Anna was there with my husband and I for the entire process! We were excited to be delivering with a midwife at Vanderbilt, but very much wanted the extra support that a doula would provide. I have personally known Anna and her family for years, and was excited when I found out that she was also a doula! She was an incredible support to both Jon and I, and provided us with some amazing birthing techniques. Her calm personality helped me stay focused and calm during the 24 hours that we labored at the hospital. I honestly do not know if I would have ended up with a vaginal birth, had it not been for Anna. She stayed with us after the birth, and helped me out with figuring out how to nurse Matilda, and came by a few days after when we were home to make sure everything was going well.

Though she hasn't been a labor doula for long, she is a natural at it! I would recommend Anna to anyone! We plan on having more babies, and will definitely use Anna in the future! 

Being a first time mom Anna has helped my husband and I become more confident in our parenting. She is one of the most positive and warm people I have met and our little one loves her.  She is highly knowledgeable in all aspects of caring for a newborn and was a great addition to our family in the first few days at home.  Not only did she help us get us some much needed rest,  but taught us a lot about how to care for our newest addition. We would recommend her to anyone interested in this service and look forward working with her in the future.

I loved having Anna help me after I gave birth to my second son.  She was very knowledgeable about nursing and raising babies and children of all ages.  She was a huge help with my 2 year old so I could spend time with the baby and rest.  She also did a great job with light housework - what every new mother needs!   I would highly recommend her to any of my friends.  She is very loving, energetic, and willing to help in any way.  

I can't begin to say how amazing Anna Morgan is. She's a personal friend of mine and i've know her for years. My husband and I were talking about getting a doula to be with us during the birth of our son and I immediately thought of Anna and we couldn't have made a better choice. When I went into labor she was amazing in helping us stay calm through the process.

In the middle of labor my baby went into distress and I had to have an emergency C-section, not at all what I wanted to do or had planned for, Anna was right there to calm me down and tell me that it wouldn't hurt and everything would be ok. She walked me through 7 1/2 hours of labor, her calming words, her techniques to help get my mind off of labor was awesome! After my son was born, she stayed there with us and helped get me started on nursing and being a new mom. I still keep in touch with Anna and she's helped me through a lot even now and my son is 4 months old!

Needless to say, I'd recommend her to anyone and everyone. Should I have another baby, I would definitely have Anna there as my doula.

I am a first time mom and completely clueless about babies. Anna was wonderful!!! She showed us some very practical ways to do things that you can’t find in books. She was also great with the baby. She did several things around the house without us even asking. I would highly recommend Anna.

Anna was a huge reason I decided to have a homebirth to begin with and she walked with me through the entire pregnancy and after.  She was available for many phone calls and even went with me to an open house at 9 Months and Beyond to check out their Hynobabies class.  She came with me to many of those classes to learn what I learned so she could help me during my birth.  When the time came, she was the first person to arrive when I went into labor and she was helped coach me through the toughest parts.  After my baby was born, I had a tough time emotionally and she was there during the worst of my post partum depression.  She spent nights with me and showed up all the time with help and encouraging words.  She is a natural in this field and would be an asset to anyone considering a doula!  She may not have the "experience" of others but her knowledge, kindness, and love of mommy's and babies surpassed all expectations I had for a birth professional.
