It must be noted that I’m someone who seldom/never writes reviews (but is a keen reader of them!) so, even if you read no further, simply know that writing this says a lot about how highly I rate Annie, how valuable I believe her service is, and how much I want other mothers and families to know about and benefit from all that she offers as a human and a postpartum doula.

It’s taken me some time to write this as I have struggled to put down in words how much Annie means to me. What an incredibly tender, vulnerable and bewildering time those early weeks of – in my case, brand-new – motherhood are. What stands out as I reflect back on that time with Annie, are two key things: how wonderful she was with my newborn and how considerate she was with me (and my family). Annie is a wonderful listener and I was struck by the sensitivity and acuity of her questions. Her thoughtful inquiries not only helped give her a better picture of my specific situation and needs, so that she could tailor her caregiving, but also guided me, in an entirely new landscape, to the resources I might be in need of.

When it came to finding answers (which I still rely on Annie for), she generously combined her insight, personal experience and training with her network and additional up-to-date research to ensure everything was balanced and I was able to make an informed decision for myself, my family and baby. When you’re sleep deprived and learning on the job, having someone you trust cut through the noise and information overwhelm is a real gift.

Annie is constantly learning and her innate curiosity is such an asset. She’s full of amazing parenting pearls of wisdom. I learnt so much from her simply by the way she interacted with our baby. As a first-time mother fairly recently arrived in a new country with family far away, Annie filled so many necessary support and caregiving roles. I feel so lucky that she came into our lives.

I highly reccomend Annie Stephenson. I worked with Annie after the birth of my daughter Lily earlier this year and I truly cannot recommend her enough. My doctor was the one who suggested having a postpartum doula during the day after I had my daughter and after the rush of those first visitors ended and I'm so glad she did. It was fantastic.

Annie has the most lovely demeanor. She is so warm and caring and calm. I love her and so does Lily. She is like sunshine when she walks in the room which is such an asset in the chaos of those early days with baby. She's part of the family now. Even the dog loves her so much. She was always able to jump right into our situation, give the baby what she needed and helped me get some time for myself. She did everything from showing me how to give my newborn her first bath to coming to the doctor with us to organizing my nursery or my pumping/feeding station to helping me figure out our schedule multiple times.

Annie is extremely knowledgeable about newborn care and postpartum mamas. She is still the person I turn to with all of my questions and she has all of the answers or knows exactly who I need to turn to. You would never be able to read enough baby books to learn all of this information, you should just hire her.

I feel so lucky (for myself and for my baby) that I was introduced to Annie and that we got to work with her. It has truly made the start of my motherhood journey 10,000x better.

My husband and I are so happy we had Annie as our PP doula. She helped us both immensely as we transitioned into first time parents and provided us so much guidance and support in our new journey. She has a breadth of knowledge and an extended network of contacts to help both mom and baby. She quickly felt apart of the family and my baby (and dog!) both fell in love with her. I highly recommend Annie and her doula services. If you are on the fence about hiring for PP care, do it! You will not regret it and your future self will thank you!

Annie is excellent at what she does--plain and simple.  Annie helped me as a postpartum doula by being reliable, compassionate, knowledgeable, and kind.  My baby was very fussy for the first seven weeks, and Annie kept me sane.  When she came over, I could breathe a deep sigh of relief because I knew that my baby was in great hands.  She comes with my highest recommendation, and I owe her my deepest gratitute for being a trusted partner in my postpartum journey.

Annie is a rare blend of (1) an ultra competent "get it done" proactive type, and (2) a calming non-judgmental energy who anyone would feel comfortable having in their home. She's extremely knowledgeable and inspires confidence in her clients. A huge comfort and lifeline.

I love Annie. As a second time mom, I know that real support those first few months is critical and something I didn't have for my first baby. I instantly connected with Annie. Every visit, she cared for me and both my sons in the ways we needed for that day. She helped set up healthy habits for my baby's sleep routine and could always help with my endless questions that came up while caring for a newborn.  She is open, loving, generous and knowledgeable. She provides steadiness and reassurance in such a vulnerable time. She became part of our family and really made our time with our new baby more peaceful. Thank you Annie. We miss you!

Annie has been an absolute godsend for our family. Being a first time mom, Annie helped me gain confidence in so many facets of new motherhood - from my first trip out of the house, how to maneuver all of our baby gear, to simply helping me understand how to interact with my new baby. Annie is intuitive, kind beyond words, warm, and so incredibly supportive. During those delicate weeks after welcoming our baby, Annie was an incredibly calming and reassuring presence in our home. She helped me connect to my baby as well as myself, and I simply can't imagine going through those early weeks of motherhood without her. Annie made a huge imprint on our hearts, and will forever be considered family.
